The BB1 cast turning down the money and then Julie having to awkwardly speak with Beth after is still hilarious to me. You could tell the producers were confident someone would take the bribe, and when no one did there’s just this amazingly funny feeling of, “Crap, we were really hoping somebody would take it.”
Oh they wanted someone to take it 100%. Beth was supposed to save the show (How I am not sure, if she acted like she clearly was set up and likely told to act she would have just been voted out the very next eviction. So wow we get her a couple weeks then business as usual). I am a little flabbergast. I do think the wall yeller (boy did that person start an obnoxious trend) telling the HG's not to take the money it's a trap might have made them nervous what the catch was. But at the same time it was obvious based on how they talked that none of them were likely to take the money. So the fact production was clearly positive they would showed yet again they simply did not get these people at all. Best thing BB ever did was get new producers and re-work the premise. Doubt it woudl have gotten a second season continuing the same format, but if it did there would not have been a third season.
I will never be over Justin's complete lack of self-awareness and understanding of why he was expelled, even his answers sound like parody. Absolutely baffling lmao.
It's always "Justin, you can't use chemical weapons on civilians in wartime", or it's always "Justin, you can't unalive animals and put the footage on the internet" lmao
It also notes a shift on how players view people wanting to quit or get ousted before their evicted. During the season 11 finale, notable past contestants, like Evel Dick, mentioned not to be too harsh on her, given how the game and even the environment, if Big Brother was purely social experiment, can take on a person. Fast Forward to season 17 to where there was debate on whether Audrey would just walk, and people/superfans, like Steve, got pissed.
Willies backyard blowup was my first ever BB fight, and it will forever go down in history for me. Ian’s “I’m gonna make a Digiorno” is forever iconic. I also JUST realized that argument was probably the birthplace of the Fruit Loop Dingus nickname
Not Christie saying she’s the 17th houseguest of bb23 Also Christian said on the feeds that production said if he didn’t make it to bb he would go on love island but he treated bb like love island anyway so whatever
@@handsoaphandsoap I heard that somewhere too, but I didn't know you could do that because, while I don't watch Love Island, I am pretty sure it doesn't meet the same physical requirements as Big Brother.
I don't like that season and do feel bad for her given she had PTSD. But I am pretty sure she even admitted she told Alex that hoping to stip up trouble and get the target off her. I think she did believe Jessica said that, and that was the first of Paul's many "lets make someone's life a living hell before we send them home" tricks. But Megan did not tell Alex that in good faith.
@@handsoaphandsoap at least it wasn't as boring as season 22. that's exactly why i watch big brother, because i want to see people squirm and struggle. that's the point of the show. that's the point of the cash prize at the end.
And a lot of people who were there didn’t really know what was going and production hated Dan for a wide variety of reasons in addition to this. So they removed him, way too late.
Basically show knew they fucked up and tried to get away with it until they couldn’t and then retroactively made themselves look better than they did and threw most of their cast under tree bus. Which again, most of them didn’t know what had happened until much later.
I believe it's because Christie is a little more exciting. We can see rn that Claire's gameplay is a little boring/low-key. So I think that's why they choose Christie instead
I like Claire. What has Christie done to piss people off btw?! Claire’s only issue is that her personality is overshadowed between Frenchie, Brent, Britini, Derek F, Derek X, Hannah, Tiffany, Alyssa and Christian, Sarah B, Xavier, even Kyland
12:58 I miss the days when we got to vote on two weird random foods to let the have not's eat. Pork rinds and pudding actually wouldn't have been bad, I would have eaten about a thousand snack packs if I was on slop that week.
Aw, I'm glad Sarah played in BB6. She was one of my favorites that season. She was really sweet and under the radar among a chaotic cast, and her eviction was one of the most memorable that season. Hated to see her go. I don't even blame Megan for quitting. I hate that she felt so low in that house, but it would've only gotten worse with that cast.
@@SchmergDergen So that’s why someone who will become extremely depressed should be able to leave early on before the game really gets started. Then you have someone like BB20 Sam who was becoming paranoid and borderline suicidal.
I really find Dick's win on BB8 undeserved and really dislike him as a person, but I was pissed as hell when he walked from BB13 because I was so ready to see him play without production interference and watch him and Rachel interact into the game.
@@Valentine-jo7ls Eric did all the campagining for Dick's part to get him the votes to stay. This was due to Eric being America's player and them wanting Dustin to get evicted even though Eric made it clear that he wanted Dick out. There's other cases of Dick being saved due to this twist.
Same for me. I loathed Dick in BB8 and considered him the worst winner ever at the time; but I was actually pretty excited to see him on BB13. This was especially because BB12 was such a boring season for me and I thought Dick would bring excitement. Instead he was gone before the feeds even turned on.
@@quiddity131 Lol I remember the Briage doing quite a bit of sleeping to the end because they didn't feel the need to engage in big arguemnts and provide us good TV since that would jeprodize their positioning. Rachel understood what she had to do to be invited back cause she was the only one willing to instigate fights.
@@tuckerdagliano7748 You know I always wondered with the alternates how it must feel to film the getting the key squence and act all excited you were picked for BB knowing you probably would never even be seen on the show.
At first I felt bad for Christie, but she was only doing this for exposure, and had no intentions of winning. Was recruited, but the major factor is she just did not care about the game only exposure. Dodged one, thankfully Claire is a lot better.
Hmm. I never knew about the alternate players joining future seasons. Maybe do a video on the best alternate players’ performances. Or does being a previous alternate player give you an advantage on your season.
I don't know if there's enough to make a video on it but could you talk about how people's names can change throughout the season for example Nakomis, Mike Boogie, Michie and also players with the same names on the same season
My thoughts on Chima are she was already very agitated and didn't listen to production to begin with so when she has her powers stripped away and her biggest ally is sent home I understand why she acted out but at the same time they're trying to put on a show and if you're not cooperating it's kind of hard to deal with
It's like they decided ahead of time "Claire is strategic and should be playing a game in her intro to reinforce that" then someone decided to film it in a park and the only game they could find anywhere was Yahtzee, and instead of changing the plan they just said fuck it, play Yahtzee in the park, it's fine.
Man. You cover the oddest topics, and I'm SO here for it. As for the Christie thing, she didn't actually have the virus though. It was a fake test, and it's really unfortunate that such a rare occurrence has to happen to someone at such a random time, but I am happy Claire is on. But Christie for BB24.
I would LOVE to see you cover the absolute trainwreck of BB Canada season 8. There was only 1 eviction in the whole season, and they shut down due to the pandemic starting, but the three weeks they were in there was ASTOUNDINGLY awful. There are some things that may be more difficult to touch on (i.e., the "acceptance" of Sheldon over Jamal by the house because he was less "aggressive and rude," the ostracization of those who are going to go home in the house leading up to their eviction, etc. etc.). It was a short season, but so much happened during it that I feel like it should be talked about more!
I just knew I had to watch this video just to see what the second guy in the thumbnails story was. The way he looked in that pic just screams crazy and must tell story, also with the fact that I’ve never seen him before just tells me something wild had to happen with this guy knowing that I’m sort of a big fan of the show. And after watching I wasn’t disappointed, like what did he think sequester was? A maximum security prison dang, haha. I gotta read the rest of the story through the link in the description. Great vid
Peridiam! Hypothetically if next season of big brother was the past 16 first evicted houseguests who would win? I think this would be a really fun video!!! Thanks :)
the fact that BBCAN 8 had one person walk, TWO people ejected, and another person threatening to quit if they weren't evicted ALL of this happening less than a month because they got shut out due to COVID-19 in week four
For me it would depend on what I thought my odds were of winning and how financially comfortable I was. If I thought I had a good shot or was financially comfortable, I'd want to keep playing. I wouldn't even consider leaving for 20k.
The producers had plenty of opportunities to kick out Justin before the knife incident. Even the item he picked up before the knife and mimicked the action of knocking her on the head with it should have been enough to be called in the diary room.
I am always curious to know when players drop out pre-season & their reasons. There was a player called Garrett Smyles who was supposed to be on BB23 (his pic was even mistakenly published by CBS then deleted) & he was mysteriously replaced by Christian.
Surprised bbcan 8 wasn’t mentioned. There was a self eviction, two expulsions and then covid shut down the house. They were in there for less than a month, it was crazy
I believe there was also a replacement on Bb17, but it was revealed they were highly homophobic and transphobic, causing them to be concerned for Audrey’s safety so they removed him
When James was questioned about him knowing Sarah before going into the house he said no, and that his partner had to bow out due to medical reasons but we don’t know if that’s true or not
Ahhh yes, good old Justin Seibek. The reason they can't have real knives. The reason that Jackson had to just drop his watermelons on the ground to get to the sweet pink flesh.
I wish that BB US producers would pull a trick out of the BB UK book, and start adding new HGs throughout the season. It could completely change game dynamics and spice things up. Just that. The alternates & expulsión stories from BB USA are just all insane.
they can’t do this, because they promised to keep them four only three months. if they add more, it’s a longer season unless they do more double evictions, which wouldn’t be fun seeing one every week because there is no strategy in these votes than.
@@queen-bf1tn They can still add people and keep the show at just 3 months. Other franchises do it all the time, Australia, Spain & the UK are great examples. And we’ve had an “extra” spot being added twice in BB5 & BB17 due to those seasons having the twin twist. It is doable, and it can give us interesting dynamics in the game.
I think it would be interesting if you tackled the long list of alternate, considered, and cut players in Survivor. Specifically, all of the veteran players that production had their eyes on, but couldn't get back either because the player in question declined or were cut in favor of someone else.
Chima showed the producers what happens when you interfere. I disagree, I understand where Chima was coming from and Russell was really bullying her in the house.
I remember watching the one about Megan on bb19 and felt so bad a lot of ppl on that season were racist and it was very clear and she wasn’t completely there still have ptsd I hope she’s doing good
