I dont understand how anyone can say this is not great. The band are really good and the passion is back. Yes i wish Steve was on drums but some times the past is just too much to forget. Its great to hear new music like this. We need this compared to the crap that gets played today.

It's not great. Its weak and contrived to appeal to a certain demographic.The voice over at the beginning is a joke. 'Legendary Band'? They are the furthest thing from a 'band' you can get.

Saw them in London on the Happiness Bastards tour in May, superb !!. Chris's voice is still as good as when I first saw them in the early 90's. They sound absolutely epic here, the new tracks are kicking !!.

As a middle aged swedish musician and lover of rock’n’roll I see it like this. You can in any parts of your life be wishing for days past but to be able to listen to a band like this making new music in such a ridicoulusy great fashion dispite everything is a real treat in my and our everyday life so posting negativity and wishing for original band and whatever is not what this is about. Thank you brothers Robinson and the whole amazing band for letting us enjoy pure rock’n’roll with lyrics scribbled on a piece of paper with a pen…can you believe that !😂💪

One of my favourite memories from my early twenties was a free show TBC did in G Ross Lord Park in Toronto in summer 92. It was an intersection of cannabis activism and love of TBC. People were in the trees. They came out for an encore and unfurled the Heckle & Jeckle flag with a big pot leaf - and the place went wild!!

Thx for the post! So proud to still be here when TBCs release a new album in 2024! Was there when Shake Your Money Maker came out- constant radio airplay and we all had the CDs blaring in our cars, hangin' out, gettin' through it all those years ago. Will watch this later, have a birthday party here today. Crowes were my favorite at the end of the 80s with SRV then along came the angry grunge era that hooked me. Big PJ fan, but gotta say I've been hearing a couple of the new tunes from Black Crowes and they're the ONLY new music i really dig. Now that I'm a "grown up" (that kid that loves the Crowes is still here) I'm back, Thanks for still bringing it guys!

Got Shake on CD for my 13th Birthday , my favorite band of my generation and it ain’t even close . Through my travels as a US Marine , and adult , seen them 13 times all over . This new record is on the lower end of their catalog IMO . Southern, Amorica , Warpaint , Frost , Shake , By Your Side , Lions , .. start there .

@@War_0 I’ve been listening at the gym . Beside and Rats are growing on me . When you love a band , the sound of Chris voice , Richs brilliant tone , no record is “bad” . Lions had Miracle to Me and Lickin should be on the live set and Cypress Tree is badass , Snakes had Good Friday and Girl From Pawnshop is way up there for me .

People don’t want to admit it, but the brothers proved that THEY ARE the black crowes. As much as the loyal fans (like me) love Gorman, Ford, Dickinson, McDougall, etc. those guys are simply not necessary. The brothers played one of their most successful tours of all time without a single one of them, and then went and made a top three career record without any of them. For me, the top crowes albums are WP, SHMC, and this record is 3rd. It’s time to give the Robinson brothers their due. They are the Black Crowes, and the rest of the guys were simply in the background.

Well said ! Since day one they had different players all over the place. Sure, Gorman was a mainstay and he was great but now he’s an old guy doing radio. The lead guitar on the first album was their producer and/or Rich .. not Cease .. The new album kicks ass and proves that all the others though great , were not the core sound. The core was always the two guys writing the songs .
