I'm really happy that the Black Keys have "made it," but I really wish that their shows were more like this one today. Wouldn't it be awesome if they did a throwback "Dan & Pat only" show where they played all of the old stuff? I don't begrudge them for evolving and playing the songs that made them rich and famous at their shows now though. I just miss the good 'ol days.

Iam a huge Black Keys fan and i like the White Stripes.. Alot. But I cant honestly see the resemblance that makes everyone compare them all the freaking time.

cmon fellow youtubers. we cant just both agree that the white stripes and black keys are amazing bands and be on our way about it? both groups are kickass musicians and avid music lovers. they are the future of this generation of music and are the few musical groups that dont do it for the mula.

Come on man, this black keys dude does everything Jack White does, except for in a less cool way, such as using three amps at once, midi stuff controlled by his tech,plus adding a bass player and keyboard player, and yet claims to be a "two piece band." Jack White is just cooler, he's more of the real deal. This dude does sing better, Ill give you that, but if you want a real 2 pc band, check out "Two Gallants," they can both actually play, and sound nothing like either of these bands. Trust me

What's the most Midwestern thing about you? I wear the same jeans every day. In the Midwest, you get a pair of jeans and then you just wear them until the crotch splits, and then you have to get a new pair. I buy a lot of pants, but I only wear my jeans. I see myself as this person who can wear slacks, and then I never do it. What habit would you like to break? Habit? My whole life is a habit! My coffee, the things I eat, how I get dressed. If I start breaking habits, I'm fucking with the matrix - I'm afraid to mess with the space-time continuum. And I'm happy with myself, warts and all. All my flaws - fuck it. Had to come here after listenning Fever

In this set they were absolutely on fire! Can´t get enough of it. It´s just a pity the camera editor chose not to linger for more than a second at a time on each shot. It takes away from the sense that you´re kinda there with them, even if nothing compares to the heady, edgy, atmosphere of the Melkweg back then, (if this is indeed from that venue in Amsterdam).

In what way, exactly? Do you think White was the first to use certain effects? First to be in a 2 pc band? Certain style of playing? There was many before and will be many after who do these things. Why people have to constantly compare the two is beyond me...they both make good music and are a nice break from a lot of the crappy music made. We should embrace it, not try to make fun of one or the other...

Dude, they´re different bands of the same Genre. The black keys is a lot grittier, in my opinion. The white stripes is more alternative.

He didn't start out with 3 amps, and Dan and Pat are "The Black Keys" because the bassist and keyboard player are only there for part of the sets, so they're not a part of the band full time. He's changed from 1 amp and a customized tele, to 2 amps and an SG, then a customized harmony, to supros, added the Marshall around the 4th album. Their overall style has changed from very basic and garage/blues rocky on the first 3, to more straight rock on the next 2, soulful on Brothers and now more alt.

you cant compare art, man. white stripes, black keys, flat duo jets, are great rockin blues bands. they dont "claim to be a two piece band." just listen to the music man. theyre all great songs.

Such a shame, but i still like them all the same. They take that pop sound off their new stuff and turn it into their old sound.

This set list is incredible! However, the SG isn't quite as good as the Telecaster Dan played in their early years. The SG has more of a crunch, overdrive, rock sound to it. Still sounds amazing!
