What’s sad is stuff like this happens a lot , and they don’t always end good or even decent. Especially in like the 70s and 80s when I believe Kidnapping was at its peak . That’s one of the good things abt technology, cause of there being cameras almost every where it makes it much harder for anyone to get kidnapped/killed . Which is a good thing ofc . But to me , movies and shows hit differently when their based on terrible stuff that actually happened like kidnapping or murder

In the movie it’s said that the mother could see and hear things that no one else could. I think her gifts were passed down to her to kids. Gwen gets visions and Finney could hear the black phone ringing even though the other kids that the grader took couldn’t hear it ringing.

she's basically the police real reliable psychic consultant. she's also very famous and popular. sadly her own powers is what made her insane and decided to do become a vigilante but does things too extreme.

One example the cops visits her daughter for her visions on crime related events. gee, where did she got that abilities and why is the kid is so well known with the cops, as if they already knrew each other that much. And they believe EVERY details without questions and hesitations. Lol.

The kid who played Finney looks like so many actors, it's uncanny. He looks like young Brad Renfro, a young Patrick Swayze, a young Heath Ledger, a young Chris Mulkey, a younger Tom Holland and Bjorn Anderson.

SO glad you got around to this movie!!! there are no small parts in this, everyone killed their performances!!! this captured the essence of the 70’s. kids got snatched every damn week it seemed like, and everything was dirty, including the air and water. the 70’s were hardcore and had NO chill. if anybody tells you those days were great, they’re lying. i’m very glad that time is over.

Happy new year! I was hoping you guys would react to this! I liked how they tried to make it different from others in this genre, and enjoyed the ending. Robin was my favorite kid hands down, but I also liked how Finney didnt give up and kept fighting. Overall pretty solid movie

I love this movie. I was excited to see y'all to do a reaction. The sister was such a good actor. She carried the movie. The boy who played Finn did great as well. Happy New Year you guys!! 🎉🥳🥂 Interesting fact: Ethan Hawke has never played a 'bad guy' role until now. He wouldn't do it. Something about this role make him do it. He did play a scary dude in this for sure.

I just watched this movie. I wasn't sure I was going to like it but I was pleasantly surprised. I was super shocked when Ethan Hawke killed his own brother. I didn't think he would do it. But the way Finney saves himself was Epic. All the actors in the movie were great! And the Dad was beating the little girl because the mother is institutionalized and kills herself because of her gifts. So the Dad doesn't want that for either of his children. And parents aren't perfect but sometimes when kids scare their parents the parents hit the kids.

Gwen is my favorite character the love she has for her brother is incredible but then again the 70s and 80s were different from what my mom told me ppl cared for each other more back than 🥺❤️‍🩹😇. Also I have a gift as well passed down from my great grandmother so does my brother i can feel ppl emotions and sometimes see spirits and my brother Astro project’s.
