I'm on cadex hookless. as long as the tyres are hookless compatible and the max psi is 73, i think it will be ok to use (but i accept the choices are not extensive still). i'm waiting for the gp5k str to arrive in sgp
Actually, tire selection isn't limited too much. Giant will only review tyres that have recommended max tyre pressure above the recommended 5 bar pressure that hookless should only inflated to. So, the newly rolled out GP5000S TR would also work. Hookless can also be found on zipp and enve wheels now, so they kind of will be the future, given the lower price and better value.
@@OompaLoompaCycling wider tires could also be installed on hooked rim. But hookless rims is said to be easy to installed due to more strictly made the tires and the rims should be. And its said to be more aerodynamic too!
@@OompaLoompaCyclingAre you saying the old GP5000? Yeah those things are heard to be really really hard to fit. Harder then my ultrasport as well. I currently use maxxis high road and those things could be fitted using just hands. Mad stuff. Tho i look forward to GP5000S TR, those things is said to be easy to install by medias.
