Beautiful bird! And a great preflight! Excellent job! Love the concept of pilot/owners sharing their planes. We can't wait for you to get the work done Mike! Go MojoGrip Go!:-)
Nice airplane. That particular one is registered in Botswana, Africa. Blackshape is out of Monopoli, Italy. I guess it's cool to know this plane is out there, but getting your hands on one? Support? Parts? $210,000 US, BTW.
Aviation is a very expensive lifestyle. I am always surprised by people who think new airplanes should be $75,000. This is a beautiful aircraft and it is priced accordingly. Becoming a pilot is very expensive, but people find a way to get it done. Whatever ur desire is, don't ask how much does it cost, but ask how can u afford it. You might just find yourself living your dreams.
Nice to see you made another video. Hoosier pilot, Blackshape 0650 & 0685 are in the hanger, hanging out with my Sling4 VH-WCD. There isn’t 2 better planes to go for a fly in. So, just get both. :)
I-Am Dougg I know, retracts, variable pitch prop, etc. Too limiting and limits cool planes like Blackshape Prime from becoming available in US. BS rule in my opinion....
@@motionsic With the USA being by far the largest watcher of RU-vid I thought it important to point that out. The LSA Rules will hopefully be changed by 2023 and this plane will meet the guidelines. The LSA category opened flying to many that could not get a PPL due to medicals. There had to be some restrictions. But I agree with you. Very stifling rules that are simply stupid. An LSA pilot learns everything a PPL pilot learns.
@@mauriceevans6546 I'm well aware of what we learn. I'm a Sport Pilot. And hood time is now part of the training. I believe they want 30-60 min with the hood on. I've heard that a night endorsement is on the horizon for these new rules. That would be great!
Hey Mike! Cool video. I wanna know more about this airplane: do you think you could do an interview with the owner and tease out some of the pros and cons? I’d like to know if a three bladed prop is available. I’d also like to see the 915 Rotax engine in it, for full FADEC.
That is a really slick plane! Maybe one day I’ll be fortunate enough to have something like that or a Sling TSI for my channel. How’s the TSI coming along btw?
@@aviator267 I saw the dealer in Canada on the website. The airplane as shown is well outside of the US LSA regulation. If there are any in the US, they are not registered as LSA or not US registered.
Blackshape obviously a super cool airplane. Way too expensive though. $ 285k CAD

Your wife bought you this airplane. Very sweet of her. Please tell us how you became the perfect husband, deserving of such a gift. I am sure most of us guys could use some pointers. Thank you.
Only for initial Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating. Back in 1975, my instructor demonstrated spins before I soloed, and had me perform them (left, and right) before he signed me off for cross-country flights.
@@EJWash57 Weird, in canada the student enters and recovers several times during thier training, but not a test item until commercial. I bet it has little impact on the crash stats tho, identification/prevention is more important. For some reason I was wondering how the Prime spins.. (but more interested on DOES it stop!)
I'm a fan of tandem for aerodynamics but it's basically the same speed as a 912 VL-3 with side by side seating and the Sea Avio Rison bests it outright despite having side by side seating. Smaller cross section helps but apparently the right shape is very important. And no one has yet done a tandem that takes advantage of the smaller cross section so it can go faster than the rest.
Hi sorry, as much as the aircraft is beautiful, the video and audio is terrible, if you are making videos know where your audio is and going to be, have a script, and or points structure, and practice your piece to cam
