Another thing to mention is that The Players Club three years later will be nothing short of a Friday reunion with the likes of Ice Cube, AJ Johnson, Faizon Love, Stanley (as the professor), and Bernie Mac all in the movie
Friday is like a time capsule that’ll probably connect with viewers 50 years from now. I give F Gary Gray most of the props for that fact. Til this day I don’t think he’s ever made a dud. Also S/O to the Jersey classic “Clerks”, I never made a connection to the similarities. The extra knowledge is what sets your channel apart. I agree with the A+ score, Friday just hit on all levels. As always, Salute to your hard work Bro🫡
Right on time 👏🏾. I always say Friday will forever be my in my top five Black movies ever made. The best out of the three honestly. Both the main and side characters were all funny and/or brought something special to the table. A classic.
Friday is one of the greatest cult classic of all time. My favorite go to line is why you bringing up old shit. Fun Facts: Smokey’s mama was Willie Manchester’s woman in South Central. Tommy Davidson was considered for the role of Ezell. AJ Johnson said that Ezell was based off his brother. Terri Vaughn (Lovita from The Steve Harvey Show) was in this movie as well. Majority of the cast were in Don’t Be A Menace To South Cental While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood as well. @@BlackMediaManCave Hav(actually without the letter E at the end) Plenty was a 90s blk rom-com like love jones and was a surprisingly good movie to me.
Hav Plenty is an Underrated Classic!! I know Bro would have all types of backstories on that one. Especially the Drew Dixon/Russell Simmons/Sharon Pratt Dixon connections.
