Apart from the fact that stealing people’s properties is a crime and they should definitely pay for it, I think this case speaks to the attraction to the sheen of superficiality. It’s truly amazing what people are willing to do in order to obtain brand clothing and expensive material goods. It goes to show how higher moral values such as honesty, humility, and hard work are out of fashion, for some people. I can’t imagine what type of fulfillment is provided by this life style. I am not saying that every wealthy person is empty of moral values. However, when that is the only goal In life, I find it very difficult to understand. If someone wants that lifestyle, why not develop a talent and work hard to become the best you can be on a particular area? This way, you have not only earned the success but also learned a multitude of lessons that goes along this type of pursuit. Excellent analysis as usual! Thank you, Dr. Grande!❤️

@@monacoofthebluepacific2571 That will only work if the the media lets them. You are assuming that all celebrities are wealthy. Wealth is not what makes a person a celebrity. It's positive or negative popularity is what makes a person a celebrity. If a celebrity capitalized on their celebrity status then they usually become wealthy. We, as a society, are the ones who gave them their celebrity status. The celebrity did not choose to to become a celebrity even though some of them wanted it. They're plenty of people wanted to become a celebrity; however, they never became celebrities. Also, they're plenty of people that never want to become a celebrity; however, they became a celebrity.

@QQuandary Год назад
@@monacoofthebluepacific2571 If celebrities were ordinary people, not celebrities, would the media care about these people doing "baity" things? I don't think so. If an ordinary person has to deal with the media spotlight everyday, this ordinary person is going to do stupid stuff every once in awhile. Everyone does stupid stuff once in awhile. Nobody is perfect. You put the responsibility of media attention on the celebrity; however, the society is responsible for this. If society didn't care about the lives of these people, idea of celebrity wouldn't exist. The destruction of celebrity lives falls squarely on society's want to know what happens in celebrity's life. I personally don't care what happens to these people's lives. I get horrified and disgusted when I hear a conversation about some one else personal life. A singer is a singer. An actor is an actor. These people are not super human.
@QQuandary
@QQuandary Год назад
@Eudaimonia I personally don't follow celebrities, because I don't care about knowing about other people's personal lives. It's funny that you exclude children because they have no choice. What I'm saying is that society decides who is a celebrity and who is not. Are you saying that someone has a choice in determining if society decides that they are interesting or not? That can't be true because society chooses that. Not the person. The one person I know is Princess Diana. I know that there are plenty of people that want to be known for their talent (singers, actors, athletes, etc) and not for being a celebrity. For some odd reason, society has decided that singers, actors, athletes, etc should be treated with celebrity status. Just being talented in something doesn't mean that they want to be a celebrity. I think people that follow the personal lives of a celebrity gets this confused.

Democrat/progressive run cities adhere more to new testament Christian doctrine of "forgive and forget" more so than actual people that call themselves Christians. You aren't forgiving them continually of you're placing them in shackles and sequestoring them from otherwise peaceful, but vulnerable society. Also the concept of disarming law abiding citizens so that they cannot protect themselves against robberies would also go against Christian doctrine of pacifism in the face of 'evil people'. "Do not resist an evil person" (Matt chap 5 vs 39). Progressives help make it so that resistance is impossible.

Hi Dr. Grande. I was wondering if you could give your opinion on Tim Norman? On 9/16/22 he was convicted in federal court of a murder to hire plot to kill his 21 yr. old nephew. His family had a television series on Oprah’s Own network for 7 yrs called Sweetie Pies. Both of them were on the show. It had him talking about the murder, taking his mom to the murder scene. He pretended that he wanted to find the killer. However his demeanor was always cold. Tim’s dad, brother and uncles were all murdered. They live in St. Louis. Thank you.

There’s this thing installed on your doors and windows. It’s called a lock. Use them! If you don’t, you may as well roll out a welcome mat for criminals. All they really got was a slap on the wrist for committing theft multiple times. What will that teach them? Not very much. Those robbed in this case may be rich but it’s still feels violating when you are robbed.

I know what having my home burglarized feels like. It is like a violation of one's physical self, and is mentally traumatizing. The monetary worth of the items stolen should have made all these thefts felonies. Weak, inept, lazy prosecution, and no real justice in these cases...California, [justice] system..🤨
@InTheNameOfLife1
@InTheNameOfLife1 Год назад
They actually were felonies for at least Nick and Alexis. Alexis has since had her record exponged, she has entirely turned her life around becoming a therapist and running an addiction recovery center. She’s a mom of two kids and actually very pleasant and remorseful for her actions.

@@InTheNameOfLife1 Most "addiction recovery centers" are scams to fleece money out of the wealthy. They rarely use evidence based medical practices and can charge hundreds of thousands of dollars. I wouldn't think so highly of Alexis, she's just found a better way to steal.

It seems like this Nick guy tried to justify his actions by viewing himself as some kind of Robin Hood or something. It isn't cool to go around breaking into anyone's home and taking their things no matter who they are. Regardless of this, sadly there are criminals in the world and by not making your home secure it is easier people like that to get in. I don't blame said stars for what these weirdos did but I thought it was common sense to at least lock doors and windows at the very least.

Hello, Dr. Grande thank you for your work. Seems that most of the people you mentioned went back to committing some sort of other offenses. But what I find kind of disturbing is that most of them got reduced sentences, and yet went back to doing it again. But (my feelings) is that the victims never get reduced trauma for what occurred in their homes, like fear every day that this can happen again. Thank You and Best Regards.

I was asked to leave and felt so scared and heartbroken because I was an abused wife, niw abused by the people who should be protecting me. So I can see where her got his first excuse by saying the victim is to blame because they left the door unlocked. Unbelievable . Great analysis, Dr. Grande, another job well done.
