My review of one of my personal favorite horror films and one of the best remakes out there, The Blob(1988) starring Kevin Dillon, Shawnee Smith, Donovan Leitch, Jeffrey DeMunn, Paul McCrane, Art LaFleur, Robert Axelrod, Joe Seneca, Ricky Paull Goldin, Del Close and Candy Clark.
Directed by Chuck Russell.

I highly recommend this 4K too. Shout Factory did a legitimate great job with the remaster and it's the best the film has ever looked on home media.

One of my favorite sci-fi horror movies since I saw it in Omaha theaters when I was 6 and looks incredible on uhd 4k

Also so best remake monster horror of all time, incredible I just saw it on this vhs and dvd, I really love it was pretty awesome masterpiece, not only That way better than original one

Yeah it was an awesome experience seeing it in the theater in 35MM. A bucket list viewing for sure.

If rights issues arent a factor someone needs to make a proper the blob/the thing action horror crossover movie and Id even go further and have a few other alien species show up on earth to team with the humans, like the last of their species and they make it a point like hey I know we're aliens too and you all have this preconceived notion of aliens being these invading monsters but that isnt us that is the thing and blob, we also have jobs, families, lives just like you guys and these two monsters are a problem for us too they took it all away and wiped out almost all of us and we came to you guys(humans) for help cause you're the most populated planet left so you have the numbers advantage cause if we dont stop them they will consume everyone on every planet of organic life and I would show flashbacks of the blob and thing devouring these other planets and even their children to get the horror aspect cause I do get an eater of words vibe from those monsters and yes I would eventually have the thing and blob meet eat other and try to consume one another and I would make it a point too that both can be stopped by cold but the thing can die by fire and blob cant. I think it could be epic.

Yes. I even reviewed it on this channel already. I appreciate it but I ultimately just thought it was ok. I personally feel this film is better and I like it a lot more. But that's just me personally.

@@OcpCommunicationsnever seen the original but this version to me as well is the best. I used to think a very young Matt Dillon was playing the lead as Blag when I first saw this but it's his brother Kevin Dillon.
