The Bloody Lester Street Massacre

In Memphis, lies Lester Street. In 2008, a house on that street was a house of horrors when the police were called, to find Cecil Dotson, his family, and friends brutally murdered. The investigator would look at gangs, deals gone bad, but the true culprit would be much closer to home.

Isn’t it amazing where you can find outside strength and ways to get through the days when you’re stuck in hospitals? I don’t know you, but I hope you’re doing better now. I also know the feeling of being stuck. I spent over a year in hospital and while I didn’t turn to social media, RU-vid or anything online because my brain was too agitated constantly and my depression was too severe and crippling, the nurses, doctors, psychiatrists and OTs/physios etc, didn’t offer me ANY support- the psychs continuously just tried to increase my medications, instead of trying to offer any kind of mental or emotional support. 😔. Only one nurse cared about me enough that she actually organised for former patients whom had gone through exactly what I did, to come visit me. She was such a wonderful person 😊

I was in the emergency room triage with a young son on this particular evening. We were at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Downtown Memphis and they locked down the entire E.R. in fear that the suspect would show up. When they finally let us leave the room.. as my child was getting admitted, I walked by the trauma room where they tried to save the children. Blood was everywhere. @geofreak75
@geofreak75 2 года назад
Yeah, I just don't see how anyone can kill a child. There is a guy here in Tennessee that killed his wife and 2 children with a shotgun. 9 spent rounds between 3 people. He shot the 9 month old in the crib at pretty much point blank range. 11 deputies had to be relieved from the case because they couldn't handle the situation dealing with the small children. And he said he did it because they had financial problems and wanted a new start. He definitely got a new start in prison! It even took them a year to find him competent to stand trial.
@TwoBs
@TwoBs 2 года назад
@@geofreak75 I’ll never understand anyone that outright murders a child let alone harms them. The lowest acts one can commit. They didn’t ask to be brought into the world, they’re not even grown to understand it. Children involved in cases like this is solely why I couldn’t bring myself to ever go through with a career in investigations. As much as I am (morbidly) curious about these things and spend a lot of time learning about cases, how this happened, why that happened, etc. …. but anything involving children just gut punches me. I’m out, especially being a parent. No amount of mental training can prepare someone to see such and have to be in the thick of it, and I honestly see officers that are relieved from their duties due to mental toll it takes on them from seeing such things in a positive light - shows emotion and care despite it being their job to do such. Still major kudos to those who push through for justice, though. Something I could never do.

Why else are they so adamant about taking guns from law abiding citizens but not gangs and thugs? When you hear Biden mention things regarding a global reset in so many words… just remember this is BAD FOR AMERICA. VERY BAD. I have seen in so many instances and countless times, the mothers literally arguing with the Judges presiding over their sons/daughters court hearing telling the Judge how she 100% believes her child’s story regardless of the witnesses in-which they always say the witnesses are lying, all the DNA found at the scene as they believe someone is trying to frame their child and planted the hair, fingerprints and other items at the scene and even though he was the last person to see the victim alive when he left at blah-blah-bullshite o’clock, he did not kill them even though his story changed multiple times. I have seen these countless mothers coddle, clean up their grown adult child’s mess (as some mothers have being arrested for evidence tampering, hiding a fugitive, etc.). Those particular cases, the mothers have and still do, convinced themselves that their dear, innocent, terrible luck child, wouldn’t hurt nobody, tender, positive and an honor roll student 5,000 years ago, that their child is not lying to them because they cannot fathom that someone they have loved unconditionally would EVER lie and lie on a subject that is so horrific, let alone the child they raised. I believe some do that because as a society, they always blame the parents for not raising them right, they must be sick too, etc. because then those mothers would have to face the music and facts which will make them look like horrible parents and what parent honestly wants to be blamed for being a bad mommy.

I didn't see any change in his eyes or demeanor. Others have said the same thing you have, but I'm just not seeing it. Can someone explain to me what the hell I'm missing?

@@looking4therealrepairmanjack Go to the very end of the video when the reporter is asking him questions. He suddenly, like a light switch, flips out. His eyes look crazy, like you just kicked him in the head or stole his last pudding cup or something. Look at his right eye (which is on the left, as you look at the screen) at 21:18 and then look at that same eye at 21:23. He looks normal in the first time point and crazed in the second, literally five seconds later. (The crazy eyes show up on the phrase "tellin' you" in the video, but probably showed up a couple seconds before, but his head is down so we can not see the change happen.) I'd be glad there was a partition between he and I if it were me asking him that question, as I am sure that reporter was. Hope this helps.

I actually watched this case right after it happened on The First 48 and I've always watched real crime shows and The First 48 religiously every Thursday, but I will always remember how I felt and how much this case has stuck with me after I watched it. I am sickened by the despicable actions of this heartless POS! How do you do this to your own brother and your innocent nieces and nephews?! Then put your family thru a trial and still have the nerve of looking in your momma's eyes and continue to lie and break her heart piece by piece??!!! SMH Thanks Mike for doing this case and all the work you put in to entertain us with your wit every Tuesday and Friday 😊

I remember this case from the 1st 48… this was the episode I remember the boy identifying the killer as “uncle junior”… this was the last episode I ever watched of that show. It disturbed me soooo much! He killed them senselessly!!! I haven’t ever forgotten this case.

Yes, he tried that after the fact once he got an attorney. During the interrogation, his mother came in and the officers left the room but of course kept recording. His mom whispered to him, "why the babies?" He whispered to her," they saw me". And she cried and hugged him, told him he was wrong but she loved him.

There is a RU-vid video of Cj where he tells what happened that night. He is 22 now and has a son of his own. It is clear that he suffers with PTSD and sadly he smokes weed to cope.

@@rucianapollard7098 Well, I am on the fence about him smoking marijuana to cope with his feelings. He did struggle with the damage of his family, but of course he does suffer greatly and I do pray he makes a better habit of acknowledging God more and having Him fulfill his life more.

Great coverage of this case… you do a great job and you have one of the best Channels on RU-vid. It always upsets me when i hear cases like this, specially incidents involving Innocent Children and Elderly Individuals. I remember this episode on the first 48. So sad… those poor kids had nothing to do with any of that dumb sh$t. The drug world is vicious, guns and violence just come along with that life style. Its a vicious cycle that is almost impossible to get out of. Thanks for all the awesome content.
