Informative and important video but I'm afraid Air is a bit of a problematic sponsor. Did you know that 100% of everyone who has or will ever breathe air has or will eventually die?
@@charlottecorday8494 I've been told it was not normal in the past for monthly rent to cost more than one makes in a week. Also, the American Dialect Society's word of the year for 2023 was "enshittification." Two hours complaining about the reasons behind both of these facts is showing a great deal of restraint and brevity, really.
Old Man: "Ooo, a magic talisman." Wabuu: "No! Don't eat it!" :::: both of them grab it and swap bodies through Magic::: Wabuu: " I'm all wet and furry. I'm completely useless now." Old Man: "Oh SHEEEEEEE..!"
I put this on thinking that the slow boring tone would help me sleep. But there was something strangely hypnotic about it that kept me awake, until I fell asleep literally seconds after it finished. I know because I'd put it in a playlist and can clearly remember every part of this, but nothing at all of the next video 😂
@@BagOfMagicFood I'm confused. I get Raditz + Double Sunday = reference! But why would it be bad for him? Is there something wrong with the Double Sunday? Or is there something wrong with being Raditz? And if being Raditz is pain, and life is pain, then doesn't that mean Raditz is alive?
@@boobah5643the importance of this discussion goes far beyond DBZ "in ways I can not and will not bother" describing. Because I don't have time for that.
It was legit, probably more legit than the actual videos he is making fun of, & should be taken more serious than them … seriously though they take them seriously?!?! Lmao
You are not the voice in your head; you are the one who hears it. Unless you've been body swapped into someone else's head, then I don't know who you are.
One of my favorite body swaps was in Kirakira Precure when Yukari swaps bodies with her cat, and doesnt bat an eye at all; she just goes "neat. I wasnt doing anything else" so she decides to just be a cat today. Now I realize this was inspired from the Garfield and Friends episode: Fair Exchange
If Phelan had a nickel for every time he turned into a cat on April 1st, he'd have two nickels which isn't a lot, but it's still weird that it's happened to him twice.
This is truly a work of art. Phelous is definitely saying words that sound like they have meaning, but I don't understand a single thing he's saying when the words are put in the order they are put in.
This video was incredibly informative, an absolute profound work of art! But my opinion is subjective, just like how art is. Although I will admit your ending there was all Greek to me, but I guess I can see where you are coming from. The Greek translation for the word “friend” is “philos” which sounds alot like your name Phelous. Coincidence? There is no such thing as coincidence! This rabbit hole goes even deeper and longer than this video! And Easter was just yesterday, a holiday about a rabbit. In that episode of US Acres, Wade saw the message about how the bunny rabbits is coming, so he ran off to warn his friends. Just like how this essay is also a warning, a cautionary tale about the body swap, and why it should not be attempted. I have no idea what I am typing anymore I’m just thinking of random things to make this look like a deep, well thought out, provocative comment. Anyway, seriously great work man! Look forward to see what you put out next year! A multi part documentary about Dementia Five, perhaps? It’s certainly a topic worthy of an in-depth discussion.
I gotta say... this was definitely the scariest story in the universe of all times. People will be making icebergs out of this video essay... it will lead to a GoodTimes adaptation, I tell you! It will have wooden Star Wars characters, strange gold and Tien battling the Shredder! These will definitely be some Funny Games!
I was kinda hoping you come up with some bullshit reasons for why the episode was super deep or something, but mocking the word-salad nature of RU-vid essays is hilarious, too.
Yes, but how come when characters body swap they usually talk with the voice that corresponds with their mind? Specially in animation. In _Third Rock from the Sun_ they kept the voice of the body, which makes way more sense because the voice is a product of the body.
I can’t wait to start my monthly subscription to Air. I appreciate that you’ve been sponsored by Air, I wouldn’t have known about this product otherwise.
Bill Murray only starred in the Garfield movies because he wanted revenge on Lorenzo Music for playing his character from Ghostbusters. Yep. Having them recast Peter with Dave Coulier wasn't enough, he had to destroy Garfield's reputation. That's why, despite what SHOULD have been the most perfect casting and giving a deadpan, sarcastic performance, Bill gave him an overly energetic delivery and made him say kid's movie trailer lines the whole time.
of course! now it all doesn't make sense! body swapping can't be real because spock's brain was stollen by garfield so he could switch bodies with john on freaky friday the 13th. leaping from body to body, hoping that each body swap would be the body swap home to planet vegeta, where he could then return to being tim allen as santa. all of which proves that body swaps are a real big fat hairy deal, except that they're not. but it makes sense if you don't think about it. so because I've run out of time for this comment to make sense, I'll sum up with these thought provoking words from krusty the clown: what the hell was that?!
[Crying like Milhouse] When are they gonna get to the Garfield episooooode?! I wondered if the Turtles Switcheroo episode would be mentioned. We watched the Easter episode yesterday!
Lol. I'm going to rewatch this video several times. Phelan, one fact you may not have known. The Wonderful World of Disney had an episode featuring a remake of Freaky Friday in the '90s. The mom was played by Shelly whatever her last name is that played Diane of Cheers. I've been at work all day, so I'm too tired to remember her last name or even look it up. Don't know why I remember that.
I came here expecting a review of one of the weirder episodes of Garfield and Friends, and instead find a Neil Breen-esque masterpiece of philosophy and insight into the human condition. What a Springtime Fool I was.
