The Boomers love guns, are one of only two factions in the Mojave with confirmed access to video games (BOS are the other), near completely self sustaining, and easily have the best style of any minor faction in the game. Clearly Obsidian knew what we all wanted in life.

In my first playthrough of New Vegas, I ended up having to slaughter every Legionary in the Fort to get the Legion Slave Ledger, because I hadn't stopped killing every Legionary I saw and as a result, I shot Karl on sight in Red Rock Canyon. I like to think my Courier took Melody to Nellis to be raised by the Boomers before heading back to Red Rock Canyon.

Most people woud criticize the Boomers. But what you said is exactly why I love em. They're one of the only faction that has created stability, order & security in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout. & I'm pretty sure, they have a bright future ahead of them regardless who controls the Mojave.

If I was born into the Mojave Wasteland but I could choose which faction I lived in, it'd be the Boomers. For all the reasons you talked about in the video, they're the faction I most ideologically and socially relate to.

Something I think should be considered is alot of the long term potential the Boomers have 1. There one of the only factions that can not only maintain or full on repair what would be very fucked aircraft and artillery guns, and considering their expertise could potentially be makeing some of those rocket launchers on their own giving them unique capabilities/options for military, diplomatic or trade matters. 2. We don't see much children in New Vegas, and a disproportionate amount of them are with the Boomers, to me this indicates a large healthy birthrate which ontop of meaning they are capable of growing in numbers as a faction on their own is highly further indicative of their self sufficiency and ability to support themselves something that will only grow with trade with the outside world. 3. On the topic of trade they sit on one of two roads north into Nevada proper, and the one that would eventually lead to Vault City, a potentially MASSIVELY important future trade route, something might be able to charge tolls for their protection for, or at the very least just benefit from the trade passing them by that would inevitable see a lot of traders stopping at their base to conduct trade, I would not be surprised if in particular there expertise is sought out for repairs for things Vault City cant fix itself depending on the item in question. 4. The Boomers are one of the few groups properly growing food and considering their capabilities self sufficiency and relatively speaking resources could be one of the many settlements involved in helping keep New Vegas fed in a Independent or House ending. 5. The Boomers are perfect middlemen in that they are so strapped no one would probably bother them (for the most part) on Freeside allowing them to trade with Vegas more easily then others and I would not be surprised if many lower end merchants who dont have the credit check to get on the strip, and dont want to brave the mass crime of Freeside would instead decide to sell their product to the Boomers who could find their own uses for said product, or resell it to Vegas far more easily then said merchants could especially if the Boomers have a good relationship with the Courier. 6. Much like the Kings the Boomers have both the manpower, expertise, and firepower to sell themselves off as bodyguards and mercenaries, something that can help provide them vital experience, wealth, and a better understanding of the Wasteland and their direct surroundings in particular through the travel involved with such work in the Mojave. I could go on but I feel this post is long enough in getting my thoughts across that the Boomers have alot of potential they can draw upon, obviously also dependent on what the Courier does and what ending comes to pass.
