You can see the similarities in Maeve and Homelander relationship, and soldier boy and the Crimson supe. I think Soldier Boy is gonna be more harm than good.

Depowered homelander could answer for his crimes and probably give him a better redemption arc to fight against a bigger bad down the road. He needs to be humbled for his character to move forward.

@@Zembo177 exactly, everything in life was handed to him and he never had to work for anything. Homlander didn't go to school, he doesn't have a code of ethics, and he's never had a job. As a regular person he'd be pathetic. Unlike Hughey or Butcher who have fought for everything that they have, and only now have super powers. They were amazing before the powers.

i think since Homelander made and enemy of Stan, Stan will somehow get to team up with Butcher and good Supes so that homelander and soldier boy be killed or destroyed, via a 1on1 battle.but they first have to know how solider boy is able to neutralize supe powers. worst case scenario, homelander and soldier boy team up because of their similarities in their lives, and theyre both psychopaths 😂

I'm surprised you didnt mention Butcher seeing his little brother in Hughie. Very sad that he is doing the same thing that destroyed his brother to Hughie. Also, the A-Train arc is setting something up. I think we are going to see another member of the Seven die.

I think the “weapon” that subdued Soldier Boy was Stan Edgar. I think the reason no Supe has killed him is because he has an anti-Supe field as a power.

Idk i think soldier boy is gonna sacrifice himself to take down homelander, since we learn radiation takes away supes power and we learn that the homelander is immune to everything basically and how they threw every weapons and nukes at him and he was completely unfazed by it, but i think the radiation soldier boy has is a special type of radiation that might temporarily weaken homelander for the boys to jump in and kill him.

On the comment about Homelander potentially just slicing soldier boy in half with laser vision: I don’t like the current trend of setting people up, even if briefly, only to have them killed off like that and subvert our expectations (invincible, deadpool 2, the suicide squad, multiverse of madness, even seen earlier in the boys, etc.- it’s a trend that I feel was okay and funny at first, but now I’m seeing too much of it and get let down when it happens lol). I do want to see a drawn-out showdown if there is one! I hope they don’t just kill off soldier boy so quickly. What a waste if so (in my opinion).

The Maeve-Butcher sex scene was maybe relevant like ever since S1 the series shows us Butcher nailing Raynor, in S2 he had getting back together sex with his wife, and this is the latest one. Shows like these can't break traditions like that, guys, come on 😅

Where Homelander has a fragile ego and personality of a megalomaniac, Soldier Boy is a chest beating, over compensating, and petty sadist bully. Although, we haven’t seen him do much except insult Malory for resisting his adavances, unintentional chest blasts, and some almost justified revenge on Crimson Countess, we do see that he has a certain facial tik that denotes anger issues or more.

I was kind of bummed we didn't get more of that facial tic in this episode. It was a great quirk of the character in his introduction.
