My theory is that Stormfront is gonna come back somehow and she's gonna want revenge against Ryan. I think it was hinted at when Butcher gave Ryan the necklace of Saint Christopher and told him it would "protect him." In Catholicism, Saint Christopher is the patron of traveling and he is meant to protect travelers from things like lightning/thunder. Just my thoughts tho

I think in the end with Butcher and Ryan is poetic. Billy's one regret in life was that he couldn't protect his brother from their father's abuse. Despite his brother always being there for him, Billy wasn't there to help Lenny. But near the end Ryan was like Lenny. A scared kid that didn't want to hurt people with an abusive father trying to make him be like him. Billy protecting Ryan could mirror what he should done for his brother against his father.

A wonderful moment that "humanises" Homelander was the scene in the Seven-themed restaurant where Ryan was overwhelmed and Homelander instinctively did the right thing in protecting his son. That, for me, gives him an extra layer of context to work with going forward, showing us that he isn't 100% all about him.

And I disagree that when storm front is talking about ryan becoming a soldier and the disgust look from home lander being because he can't comprehend it. I think it was his father instincts kicking in and him thinking "how dare you think of my son as just a foot soldier, and that he is too young to worry about that kind of real life issues. And him being worried about where his son was when he got back from the cabin. It really gave homelander another layer that I have seen very few talk about.

Newman’s reveal works well because our protagonists didn’t focus the entire season on solving this mystery. In lesser shows, it would have been the main theme for an entire season, leading to the audience feeling cheated at the end due to a lack of (obvious) clues. The Boys does it in such a way that even though the audience clearly wondered through the season who it was, they weren’t made to feel the need to solve the mystery before the reveal.

It was quite an emotional, well acted episode. I was really moved by Homelander's genuine dad moments with his son this episode, and how he didn't gel with Stormfront's agenda where it involved parenting his son. I cried with laughter at the "girl's get it done" beat up scene, it was the best pay off and a perfect slap to the face for "corporate feminism" in movies.

An "Homage" is an *intended* reference I don't think anyone actually consciously *intended* to reference Star Wars... it just probably coincidentally turned out like that. *BUT* ya never know. Maybe whoever worked on creating that scene in the back of their mind was a big Star Wars fan and got the idea for the scene, without meaning to intend it to accidentally look like an Anakin reference.

The Seven was never really The Seven in this season, with no one ever replacing the Deep. So I'm wondering for season 3, along with Soldier Boy (who'll replace Stormfront, who replaced Translucent) if someone like Tek Knight will fill in that last position so The Seven is, well, seven.

I kind of feel bad for Homelander he’s had quite a tragic life and the fame that vought gave him didn’t help. I mean he’s still a bad person but there’s normally a reason why bad people are bad. Also he really does care for Ryan and we see that so another reason why he is bad is because he has a son that was kept away from him and now his son has been taking away again.

I don't think this will happen. But it could be a parallel to Starlight's Father leaving because he couldn't handle having given he's baby daughter compound V. Maybe Hughie was given compound V as a child, and the mother couldn't handle it and left as he never developed any powers, but it turns out in season 3 something triggers he's power.

One thing I didnt hear you guys mention is that Stormfront was more or less in the same shape as Lamplighter as well. The comic, as you have mentioned, brings back Lamplighter in a zombie like way so im thinking thats what they have in store for the pair, or possible even some messed up Shockwave return headless. Love the Cyborg Stormfront theory!
