Fun fact, waaaayyyyy back in season 1, when Homelander interrogates Vogelabum about his son dying, Vogelbaum lies and says the fetus killed the mother in a horrific brutal manner. The reason Vogelbaum got away with lying to Homelander without Homelander detecting he lied (with a rising heartbeat) is because Vogelbaum was just imagining Homelander’s birth in his mind when talking about Ryan’s birth. The female doctor confirms that story here, with the horrific ethereal story of Homelander killing the surrogate.

It's also possible to lie without any iregularties anyways. This is why "lie detector tests" are dismissable in court. Being nervous in an interview environment can cause many false positives for truths as well. Myth busters tested it and they discovered if you simply think of a true thing and answer, you'll almost always pass.

That makes zero sense. The entire point of Ryan being special is that he's the first born supe. Key word there: FIRST. Homelander wasn't born a supe, he was still pumped full of V as a baby just like everyone else, so Barbara (that female doctor) still lied about his birth; he didn't laser out of someone's stomach and fly out, it's all still manipulation.

This episode was a WILD ride, genuinely had my jaw dropped for a solid 20 minutes. So many extremely important story beats happened in one episode. Honestly it's the best episode of the season so far for me.

When Hughie puts the compound v in his jacket pocket he leaves his jacket on the chair in the room and walks out. When he returns his jacket is now on the end of the bed. I took this to mean his mom took the v from his jacket and dosed his dad.

It's wasn't an important scene because Hughie hasn't killed many people. It was an important scene because it was the first time Hughie had to kill someone, by himself, while he wasn't on Compound V. He was just normal himself Hughie. It was a huge realization for him that he can actually do some things now, against an actual assassin, even with a broken or strained ankle.

I think the V gave Butcher's brain cancer sentience & it became a parasite, like Venom, and it uses Becca's voice to speak to him & motivate him. When Ezekiel was choking him out, the parasite took over since it got suped up & that is why Butcher can't remember .

I would like to point out something that I think was misinterpreted. I don’t believe Hughie dosed his father with V as of the conversations he had about it, by the time his fathers awake Hughie had seemed content with letting his father die peacefully. When his father wakes up even he was surprised. Why would he be surprised if HE dosed him? Maybe it was his Mom, or someone else, but I definitely don’t think it was Hughie.

16:35. I think this is actually a brilliantly layered callback because I swear that is exactly the story Vogelbaum told Homelander about Ryan's birth back in Season 1. It also somewhat explains why Homelander didn't figure out Vogelbaum was lying until Madeline told him a story that didn't match up. Vogelbaum was speaking from Memory, he was just talking about John's birth not Ryan's

Ryan is the first naturally born supe. This has been known since season 1, so how is Ryan the first born supe if Homelander was a supe at birth too? It's far more likely that both stories are still nothing but a lie trying to manipulate Homelander. Plus as story writing goes, going back and using a story that was a lie in a similar situation is trying to point us in the same direction it did before.

For real. When Hughie puts the compound v in his jacket pocket he leaves his jacket on the chair in the room and walks out. When he returns his jacket is now on the end of the bed. I took this to mean his mom took the v from his jacket and dosed his dad.

It still doesn't make sense that Homelander would laser out of his mother at birth, having his powers at birth, but yet Ryan is the first born supe? Homelander was still pumped with V after being born, so the story has to be another lie just like Vogelbaums was

I don't think Hughie gave his father the V. He is going to, but chooses not to in the last second. Then when his father gets the V and wakes up Hughie looks surprised, while his mother, who works for vought, does not.
