Okay so the “monkey” part of “surrender monkey” as a slur for French people comes from an incident during the 19th century. In the middle of the Napoleonic Wars a French ship was wrecked off the coast of a town called Hartlepool in England. The only survivor was a monkey dressed as a French officer that the crew kept as a pet/entertainment. When the locals found it they captured it and because they had never seen a monkey nor a Frenchman before and all they knew about the latter was stereotypes of them being hairy, smelly creatures that didn’t speak English they assumed he was a French spy and proceeded to hang him. Hence the “monkey” part of “surrender monkey” and why people from Hartlepool are nicknamed “Monkey Hangers.” Whether the story is true or not remains a hotly debated topic.

I don't know if it's just me season 4. So far the first three episodes seems a little lackluster the previous season. I always wanted to know what exciting things going to happen on the next episode of every single time. These first three episodes just seem a little slow but hopefully it picks up

To me I would be scared of writing the smartest person on earth in my story just like I would be scared to write Gojo in my story. Because how do you justify them losing ? She can just predict anything the Boys will do and do whatever that would decrease the chance of her dying. Like the only excuse for her to die would be he wanted it and I don't think she allied herself with Homelander to flip later or maybe she will just become the next big villain.

*The* *Boys* *S4* *Ep* *1-3* I will give it a *B-* so far. What saved it was Ep 2. Ok, why did the writers turn *Frenchie* *gay?* From Cherie to falling and wanting to protect Kimiko to gay sex with Colin? Cherie did explain something in Ep 2 on what Frenchie did to Colin’s family but I still don’t understand the writers turning Frenchie gay like that. That’s a nice weight loss by Laz Alonso, but why is Mother’s Milk controlling The Boys? Didn’t Butcher start it? I do agree with Sean Chandler that the writers are recycling the same stories again. More dick jokes in every season and even in Gen V. Used the same Rick Astley ringtone joke we heard in Season 1. The problem is where are they trying to go with this? What’s at stake? It’s the most political it’s ever been since Season 2 and maybe the worst season since S2. I was mostly meh with Ep 1 and 3 but Ep 2 which had the biggest shock value among the three is why I didn’t give it worse than a B-. My favorite part of Ep 2 was actually TruthCon. It actually hits home because I have a stepdad who is a devout Roman Catholic and he watches religious conspiracy theorists on RU-vid. Like these RU-vidrs will say if you add a certain amount of days, it will add as 666 mark of the beast. There’s a Tom Hanks line from Firecracker that had me rolling. *Firecracker:* If you add up all of the letters of all of the Tom Hanks movies, you get 311, which is…the police code of child porn. It’s just math! That Ep 2 was mocking everybody. Whatever side you’re on, they’re making fun of you. And then Ashley takes a jab at Disney which had me rolling. How she wants to quit and Disney has been offering her a job and how much she’s such a “lady boss”. I actually think Sister Sage is a standout character for me. She reminds me of the Oracle in The Matrix movies but then she’s way more snarkier. She’s basically controlling the entire group now being the smartest *person* in the world. *Sister* *Sage:* Ryan is the first natural-born superhero. And his brand needs to reflect that. He’s not one of Vought’s lab rat freaks. He was chosen - by fate, God, whatever- to be the one who saves the world. *Homelander:* Yes. But let’s not forget why he is special. Shall we? He’s my son. Chosen by God, sure, but, uh… made by me. *Sister* *Sage:* The chosen one narrative only works if he stands alone. Harry Potter. Neo. Luke Skywalker. Hollywood’s trained people to fall in love with *white* *boy* *lone* *saviors.* So, America will want to fall in love with Ryan. Firecracker is such a slut to Homelander. When are we going to see her breastfeed him? They’re probably going to use some prosthetics like Rose Byrne did in the two Neighbors movies. Man, too much dicks keeps showing in every season of The Boys. Is this requested by Seth Rogen? The Boys S1: Translucent The Boys S2: Love Sausage The Boys S3: Termite Gen V S1: Little Cricket climbing one 🌳 The Boys S4: Splinter brawl How often will you see a brawl where the adversaries are completely butt naked with their dicks hanging out? That’s basically what we saw in Ep 2. A dude who clones himself is getting into a brawl with The Boys while completely butt naked. And that wasn’t even the weirdest and grossest part of the episode. You’ll know that part. Just think human centipede. I think A-Train is becoming a little more likable especially if he flips. But The Deep is still the most useless and the biggest laughingstock of the series. And what’s up with The Deep hooking up with Sister Sage? He was angry at her like a minute prior. Says maybe five sentences to her. Next thing you know, they’re making out. The old Black Noir never talked. The new Black Noir won’t STFU. Season 4 is looking like the worst season of The Boys if all it’s doing is recycling the same stories over and over. And the problem is it’s going to get way more political at the end. Moreso than S2 and S3. This is why S1 remains my favorite season. It was still fresh and didn’t become way too political yet. The current writers keeps chasing for more shock value that adds nothing to the story. I actually want Homelander to be the hero at the end of this series. I know in the comics, that’s not the case. Butcher supposedly kills him. But I feel Homelander is the victim and the real villain is Vought. The end should have Homelander being human again and we see him actually enjoying it. The ending should have everyone no longer having superpowers. Homelander’s superpowers is why he’s so egotistical and has this GOD complex. If he no longer has it, then the better person inside of him will come out. He’s the best character in the show and he’s what makes The Boys so unpredictable and entertaining. Deadpool is tame compared to The Boys. No Deadpool movie will show as much dick as The Boys does. The Boys goes to the extreme with their shock value.
