You could adapt what we saw on his childhood in the series into a full length movie, and also the episodes in The Boys: Diabolical, which shows how Homelander went from trying to be a legit hero, but then realized, thanks to Black Noir (and Vought as a whole), that he would always have his image protected, and thus he becomes the monster we see in the series.

You might say something that would on the face of it be OK, but which you were unaware would be socially unacceptable (for instance, you might repeat a term used by others). You might say something which has connotations of which you were initially unconscious. You might say something which isn't racist but which another person might consider racist. You might be a bigot who just didn't mean to spout his honest opinions. There are all sorts of ways to "accidentally" say something racist. The whole intolerant thought-crime thing you probably have going, where you can't believe that anyone could "accidentally" say something racist, thereby fostering a social intolerance of racism, is itself fascistic, but you probably don't realise that, so you said something "accidentally fascist". Always easy to do.
