Actually not only incredible, but pretty much revealed a lot about Black Noir's past. How Soldier Boy abused his payback team members. Looks like he is the direct reason why Noir's head was severely disfigured to a point he had to use snake eyes like helmet

@@minglemanx7841 they already said season 4 is a go. So its going to be insane how this series goes. There are many possibilities now...Butcher and his team along with Soldier Boy can still fight Homelander, worse, Soldier boy and Homelander teams up which forces the Boys's hands or surprisingly Soldier boy becomes villain with Butcher and Homelander teaming up to take him down. There is also Starlight's warning about temp V. If HL and SB teams up, then Butcher, Hughie and others are going to do the very thing they hate...become permanent supes themselves....but damn, this is getting crazier and crazier...!!

Homelander’s lab rat background makes WAAAAY more sense now with the reveal. Like why was he the only known Supe to grow up under Vought’s supervision while the rest of the Seven and other Supes got to be raised by family. He was conceived by Vought from the beginning to replace Soldier Boy since, as his genetic offspring, he is likely to inherit his father’s powers, and yet went even beyond that with his Superman-like abilities. Vought would’ve had a Soldier Boy 2.0, young and obeying their commands since infancy, fearing that he will lose everything if he doesn’t follow through. A new, more obedient soldier than Soldier Boy.

Homelander's Superman like and flying abilities may also come from the other half of his genetic matter, i.e his biological mother, which I think will be revealed to be Stormfront. Considering Soldier Boy also said that he and Stormfront (Liberty) founded Herogasm together. That would be some really messed up shit

Anticipation is an excellent feeling! I love being able to speculate too, an extra rewarding feeling when I guess something correctly (like SB blowing up herogasm). None of this happens when I binge watch a series so as much as I say I hate the weekly wait, it has added to my enjoyment of the series.

@@nomadpurple6154 Indeed, I binge almost every show, even if it is something I like I wait for it to finish airing and then binge. But the Boys is just so much fun to watch weekly. It is so packed and so much stuff happens with no filler that every episode feels satisfying. Plus the anticipation for the next episode is a great feeling through the week leading up to Friday. Gonna miss it after next Friday.

For the story to evolve he has to at least attempt to embrace his son, which brings the wonderful complication of his deal with Butcher and his revenge on Black Noir/Vought into question. It's going to be lovely to watch.

@@nomadpurple6154 Which is why I’ll be extremely disappointed if they end up killing Soldier Boy off this season. I feel like there’s so much left to be explored with his character that it would just be a waste. People say that this would work just like it did with Stormfront, where he’s meant to appear as a main character for just one season. But she had the advantage of being present all throughout Season 2, whereas we really only started to see any significant scenes featuring Soldier Boy in episode 5.

He will dethrone and that will break homelander's heart so much. Soldier boy didnt raise him and had no ties with him whatsoever. He just know he is his son but nothing more. While homelander had been longing for family eversince. I think soldier boy will die though or if not, will be taken out of the picture. There is just no way that he will remain in the show even if I want him to stay.

I've only seen her do press once, and that was for the very first season at some comic convention. She sat on the couch with the other cast members but didn't speak. I wonder why her actress has chosen not to do press or participate in promotional material for the show.

I know she's an Irish actress, but I don't recall seeing anything regarding other projects she was working on in Ireland during the filming of season 3 for The Boys when I was doing some light research on her, but I may have missed it.

The boys is getting better and better not just with each season, but with each effing episode...every character is explored on a deeper level and only boosts my excitement for what this series brings further. Episode 7 had some huge character background and revelations. Especially Butcher confronting his past. There is going to be a serious character turn for him, Homelander and Soldier Boy included..Hughie was and will continue to be the Boys team's moral voice...

I absolutely love twist and turns. Complications. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have complicating everything like Jensen can. I love every character on the show. Ashley oh my! She’s definitely complicated. The addition of Soldier Boy just made everything way way better for me.

Paul Reiser is amazing. As if The Boys hasn't given us enough already, they bring PR back into the spotlight. For me, all the insane recurring side characters are a major highlight. Because they don't necessarily carry a lot of the main narrartive weight, it gives Kripke & Co. much more latitude to just go nuts. And when that happens, we *all* benefit.

i didn't notice the parallel first time around but the conversation hughy had with soldier boy was pretty on the nose, about putting your emotions aside during a mission, even after butcher has a wake up call, he still reverts back to "soldier mode" until becca is avenged instead of worrying about hughy DIRECTLY after that mindcrusher (whatever his name is) experience

The relationship portrayed by Jensen is accurate to the script, if that was improv,the jerking off and violence and need for fame ,validation in the tv show against noir and other teammates,it was excellent ,even if it wasn't, we all already love the director Eric kripke.

I saw a video weeks ago talking about how one big f*ck up Huey's arc was, completely forgetting about Robin and throwing himself onto Starlight like nothing happened and pretending like she never even existed when in fact i find it very natural after the traumatic events he lived through, he is repressing all the stress. Only to end up 2 episodes ago snapping at A-Train for EXACTLY that reason. He didn't forget, he doesn't want to remember, you can really see him almost choking and, gulping a lot when confronting him. But knowing that he is far stronger now cause of the temp V he just hits him, i find it perfect.

I mean they are going all out with this season. The first two felt like the drumroll leading up to this season with how Homelander is getting so close to finally flipping his lid. And Butcher and Hughie are now completely fixated on finishing the job. We'll probably get a few more seasons but this has been the best one so far.

I quite like that they dont follow the comic note for note. Most of the time when a show or movie does that it turns out to be a detriment. But in this series it reaaaallly works

Episode 6 is really really good, but Episode 7 is it’s own masterpiece. The pacing for every characters situation was really fluid from scene to scene, with tons of twists. They chose 2 creative ways to examine 2 characters backgrounds in Black Noir and Butcher, Soldier Boys character was shown really well here, as well as Hughies - Hughie is in a war currently, while Soldier Boy didn’t even actually storm Normandy he was just handed superpowers, and kills indiscriminately because he thinks that’s what war is about. Of course the cartoon characters was an incredible addition, amazing contrasts between the cute characters and the gritty environment they’re performing in, really similar to Noir himself in a sense - so much power but he wants to be an actor/artist

Supernatural should have ended after 5 seasons (the prime Kripke run), so I really hope this show ends on the highest of high notes (much like Breaking Bad).

Very cool of Kripke to keep that detail from Jensen since the character of Soldier Boy didn’t find out until this episode. Idk if that’s why or not, and I’m sure Jensen is a good enough actor to pretend his character doesn’t know, but I imagine it still adds to how he was building the character to have not known at first.

Wasn't that into supernatural, I felt cw really restricted his creativity. You could see it shine tho, but not the full spectrum.

@@HOT_SAUCE_ADDICT In the Kripke era it was the one gem in a sea of dross but then became a CW show when he left. Given the first two seasons were pre-digital and TV budgets, the special effects were never grandiose so if that's what you require over plot, character development etc, then fair enough, it probably isn't for you.

I wonder if Soldier Boy and Homelander will team up against Hughie, Butcher, Starlight, Kimiko and Meave if she's free, I think maybe Black Noir might free her and could also team up with them, maybe throw A-Train in there too and that would be an insane battle, probably won't happen but would be interesting

A new The Seven? 👀 Someone on Reddit actually mentioned the recurring season-long themes: For season 2 it was "girls get it done" that was all just PR until it got it's payoff in the Stormfront vs girl supes fight scene. For season 3, it started with the focus on the "Dawn of The Seven" movie. They suggested it could go back to that theme with "Dawn of The Seven" being referring to this new switched teammup 🤷‍♂️ I love it esp if it means we get to see it play out like that

I love how international actors have made this magic with their talent (and story writers etc). I think Jensen might have given away what happens in the next episode at the end of the interview. Soldier Boy will still be on The Boys side, saying that if he had been around to raise Homelander, he wouldn't have grown to be the F-up that he has become. Mark my words, and thank you Jensen :)

Yeah they’re all wearing the same clothes in each one of these post-episode vids, so I’m assuming that’s what’s happening here. I know some select people got to see the season ahead of time just so that EW could make these videos and increase engagement with social media, seems to happen a lot? Not sure tho
