I feel like Homelanders moment to fumble the bag will be trying to make Ryan more like him when all Ryan wants is to be loved, I can imagine a mirror scene like where he tried to make him fly but instead tries to get him to kill and we'll have a sort of omni-man invincible sort of dynamic with them if they go all out and do something like invincible's train scene but in live action I'd be all about it that would be insane!

I always love when EA’s passion comes through. Like listening to his videos the past couple years, he always presents things from a neutral standpoint, but I always like hearing in his voice when you can tell he’s excited or passionate about something. Just a small detail I appreciate haha.

I do believe Ryan is a case of circumstances. I think that if he'd been raised by Becca in a ostentatious situation that he'd likely have turned out fine and more smarter than he is in the show. Maybe as bold as his mother, but not what he is now. Even if Ryan turns out to be like Brightburn, unlike Brandon, he's going to make some dicey decisions of his own to please/defend shitlander, such as covering up murder, striking some random innocent supe (starlight maybe), aiding in on a catastrophic event with shitlander too, etc.....making him not completely guiltless in this story.

lol that parody about the less content for larger margins really spoke to me. You know how they suddenly just stopped producing high quality content with more than 8 episodes...Or when they stopped making movies 2hrs and 20min and only make 90min films.

Best things about season 3: Soldier Boy, and Maeve and Butcher having a go. Those two would be so good together. Worst about season 3: utter mismanagement of SB. Barely saw him for half of the season, then had that horrible end. Missed some better options as well for his future.

But doesn't Soldier Boys's existence mean that Homelander is killable? That's what the whole 3rd season was about, the uncompromising each man government mentality that had become hard-set in each of the members of The Boys, and the chaos it creates, was a very perfect description of the whole world has become; and it's the ONLY reason that Homelander is alive right now. Each person in the team was so hellbent on his own conscience, beliefs, feelings, actions, and goals, that it never occurred to them that they would all have what they wanted if they would have continued to work together as a team, and had kept focused on the one goal of taking out Homelander. I know that Homelander is a little different from the others, but if I understood it correctly, Soldier Boy should have still been able to mute Homelander's enhancements if not kill him immediately. But the unrelenting spirit of uncooperation among the Boys members (which was also present among The Seven, and Vought) kept Homelander alive. (Darn! Was ANYBODY on any side in the 3rd season trustworthy to his peers?)

So at the end of Season 2, Mallory said that Neuman was sneaking money to fund the Boy's activities and office. Now that they know what's really up with Neuman, I can't imagine her continuing to financially support them. And even if Mallory can find alternative sources of funding, Neuman already knows who they are, and where their office is, and could direct Homelander to them and Annie

I know we love Ryan Reynolds, but the marketing for The Boys is maybe the best out there. The markeing isnt a trailer, its part of the narrative of the show. Marvel might do 3 or 4 trailers for a movie, and then people moan about having already seen the movie, this avoids that. However given al the stuff Vought owns, Vought Petroleum being the most obvious example, I dont buy that they dont already basically own the US Government. You only have to look at how much power lobbyists have IRL to see what Vought could do in this universe.

Based on your analysis here, an ingenius aspect of the way Vought is portrayed in The Boyz, is that Vought is kind of a distillate if huge corporations writ large. So much of what they do is "just capitalists being capitalists". Yet you can find so many parallels in real life.

it always amuses me to see those dark roots on Homelander, they don't even try to make it look natural. Poor Homelander grasping at what attention and affection he can get. Here's hoping that it will be his downfall. And yes, we're waiting for that Supernatual casting continuing with Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins. You never know what Kripke has up his sleeve.
