At 3:00 Matt forgets to hit the crashes. It's all right though, sometimes I forget things too. Like this morning, I was feeling a little tired so I poured some Monster Energy into my coffee. I was half way to work then realized I forgot my car.
In a situation like that, the guy wrote the fucking track, so he can play it as sloppy and miss parts as much as he wants lol super solid playthrough though. That china is on POINT

I first heard of Matt Greiner from ads in both Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazines, but never listened to either him or ABR until about two days ago. This guy is absolutely incredible!!! I NEVER EXPECTED the level of technical proficiency and groove that he has... I'm completely blown away--just awesome!!!😆
lord ive had this song and the drum intro stuck in my head for years. its one of those songs by ABR that just comes and goes, whenever im feeling motivated or challenged or good it comes in my head. its like youre going into war or something, absolutely epic
yea not that hard to chew gum and play it keeps you focused and timing is always on point cause you chew on the 2 and 4 beat or whatever timing you are playing.
We drummers chew gum while playing live to keep us from looking mentally retarded with the bizarre things our mouths start to do. My friends say I look like I'm a deaf person trying to talk.
I love both the original version of the song, AND all the stuff he added/changed with this playthrough. Matt is a superb drummer, and I love all his stuff. Chewing gum actually helps me focus when I'm drumming. Back in high school, our WGI drumline director would let us chew gum during rehearsals. Kept our brains occupied while playing through our parts. Something about it. Also, behind the kit, it keeps you from getting the "wide open drummer mouth" thing, Lol.

This man could literally do anything Jon Bonham or Steve Smith could do with the toes on his right foot; his hands do almost nothing particularly hard while he works miracles with the pedals. He singlehandedly brought me into a genre I don't really like, just because of his raw talent. Ugh so good
