Shoutout to Portland for working out, what, half of the players projected to be selected in the first two rounds? That's impressive. Thanks for the recap and rundown! Good luck with your draft predictions, everybody:) I love Carter, too! Total dog. A trio of Scoot, Shae, and Carter would be a formidable guard rotation for the future. I hope the team continues with its recent trend of youth + upside, favoring length this year, Holland, Williams, Ware, Salaun seem like good prospects to grow with Scoot and Sharpe. I hope a veteran or two is moved to clear PT for the rebuild. That said, I'm not a season ticket holder, and understand fans wanting veterans or sure prospects to go with the veteran core of Grant, Ant, Ayton, and the prospects already in-house. I hope the draft provides a clear picture of which of these directions the team is going. I think the fans would appreciate knowing, but we shall see. It's an interesting draft. Go Blazers!
Good summary. Tough choices tomorrow as they all have some good skills but nobody is a can't miss. Edey is interesting with his very late start to basketball and very noticeable improvement each college season. You'd have to decide if you could live with more drop coverage as his recovery time will be challenged. Holland is dropping so might be a steal at 14. Clyde was a pretty poor shooter early so as long as the form is not bad, it can get better. Go Blazers
If "insiders" dont even Mention PAINT Protection & Defense, then your NOT paying attention or doing your job well... ; Blazers prob. gave up 40 - 50 Pts A NIGHT (easy layups or dunks) Bcuz NO teams feared or respected them INSIDE & it just became ridiculous after awhile... We NEED An EDEY... a Clingon,.. Sarr,.. level BIG who defends and blocks shots & HITS people hard & earns the respect of others, to STOP the frig'n layup lines!!! We HAVE shooters (they were hurt or tanking) We HAVE Creators & Playmakers!!! We Have great finesse, shooting bigs!!! WE NEED DEFENDERS!!!!
@@czarlguitarl Bruh, there is SO much more talent available at 7 than Edey. There's a reason the professionals who do these mocks have him going between 10-20. He's not top 10 talent, bud. Sorry to burst your bubble. If he's there at 14 or the Blazers trade back, I wouldn't hate it, but wasting a top 10 pick on him? Nah, no way.
I think an ALL Around Wing would be smart at 7... and move up to 9 or 10 to get EDEY who I also believe will be MUCH better & a difference maker and If they can pull that off it's an A+ We HAVE to go for NEEDS not just talent! Bcuz we Have'' a ton of talent & athleticism We NEED Defenders & Paint protectors!!! ;
there's no longer a fanbase. i dont even think ppl are comin out in deplorable an dangerous pdx 2 go 2 moda an watch the scrubbs play ball. joey cronutt an jodi allen dont kno what they're doin. we're doomed.
Speak for yourself. 🤷♂️ While the team is admittedly in a bad place, we have a LOT of picks in the future, solid players that just need to pop, and a good developmental program (see Reath, Walker and Rupert if you don't believe me). Does ownership need to change? Yes. Would a different GM be preferable? Yes. New coaching staff? Absolutely. But it's still our team. 💪
@sebaztionabsolution If you truly feel Dame was the issue, you're completely out of touch. Olshey couldn't get out of his ego's way to make a big move to get Dame help. Nobody tried to get Aldridge to stay. Wing depth was non-existent. That's on the people who built the teams, not the individual player who was a cornerstone for over a decade. Come on, man, you can't just throw darts and hope they stick.
