I love the Da Lachi Plus. I also loved the wedding hairpiece of Erqing in Yanxi Palace. My favorite however has to be the crown like headpiece of Ruyi that she wear during most of her Empresshood.
Wow that’s so interesting. I had no idea that’s how those elaborate headdresses evolved and were related to the wealth and stability of the Qing empire
This ia very interesting and show how some c-dramas are not so accurate in the women’s hair. I already watched dramas of Kangxi era where the women used Da Lachi, and until now I thought it was common at that time, but it wasn’t even invented 😂 Thank you so much for the amazing videos ❤
Really fascinating! And super complicated to style! But I guess if you're that elite, you have people to do your hair for you. I'm amazed at the details in all of the headpieces and jewelry as well!
Thank you for another Amazing video Bing, love it this is like the one you posted in your other channel but larger and better please keep doing this long and specific videos are really enjoyable, by other side ss Chinese fashion lover, im amazed of how maby variations snd evolution qing hairstyles had. And its a great add to post how they were fonde. I always wandered how were really done and was trying to figure it out to try it my self with my long hair. And usually when you search is just premade pieces and i wonder if thst was the case during past times as well. im glad they still used their real hair though. Now I'm more encouraged to try it up. I hope its okay, Thank you very much nd best regards!!!!😊
Thank you so much for making this interesting video. When I was younger, I really liked the Da Lachi plus hairstyle. I still do, but I have more appreciation for other Qing dynasty hair styles now. Thank you again for this video.
Looks like scaffolding at some points! 😍 I wondered how they kept their hair so tall and in place. I thought starch of some kind. Like us Black chicks, when we get our hair done that one shellac hair style could last for weeks! 😂 ✌🏽
Thank you for sharing this excellent video. I really enjoy learning about ancient Chinese dress, including clothes, jewelry, hairstyles, etc. Could you please do a video of Han/Manchurian shoes through history some day?
I thought the Da Lachi + is made of solid black plastic or leather. The Chinese entertainment industry used this headdress more often in plays and films relating Manchu stories. Big artificial flowers, ornaments, and tassels.
5:20 if I understood correctly that hairdecoration was used by high ranking imperisl women's during especial ceremonies like feng dian did? There are pictures or paintings about it? I will love to see it
