I hate to hear that you're in pain... your blog was my go-to when I broke my ankle on 9/22/2016. It's actually still the number 1 bookmark on my toolbar in my browser! I read every single entry and compared your recovery time to mine. I was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent ORIF surgery within 6 hours. A plate and 9 screws holding mine together. I was in a wheelchair and had my crutches until basically around Christmas that year when I was able to hobble around the table and serve myself food. Those 3 months were the longest months of my life, I never thought I'd walk again. A few months ago, I had the exact same pain you're describing here, in my heel - probably because stupidly, I decided to work at an Amazon warehouse walking upwards of 10 miles a day for 12 hours! Bad idea. I did the same thing as you, elevated and broke out my boot and compression sock and it went away after a week or so. I quit that job, too. LOL. Anyway, I wanted to take a moment and say thank you so much for providing insight and information - I hope all goes well for you!

Oh man, thanks for your note, Justin - and sorry you had to go through that. This recent go-around definitely freaked me out, but I'm feeling a little better. I think it all just came from super tight muscles/fascia that I've been neglecting - and now I have to make up for that. Never a dull moment!

I hope you're feeling better! I'm 10 months out (feels like years) and hopefully having two screws removed in the next few weeks... it is a struggle accepting that this isn't they type of injury you just heal from and move on forever.. Wishing you strength x

Thank you for sharing.. Im just 4 th month after surgery. And I realise that how sirius this is.. Had some pains last week couldnt walk .. Im just at the begining. And feels like sooo looong..this recovery.. Ah..😟

The recovery does take a while, but it's not always as shitty as you feel now - there are different phases and each one requires a new approach. Don't worry, you won't always feel like this!

Hey, I love looking at your videos! You have such a calming presence that stops me from despairing too much. I broke my ankle a little over a year ago, and am supposed to get my hardware removed in a few weeks. I was wondering how the recovery for the hardware removal is.

im recovering from ankle surgery just got mycast off after 14weeks was given a boot to wear although they said i never needed it whati was wondering when you first started walking with the bootand 2 crutches how sore was it and for how long

Mihal Freinquel I am worried about walking all right and pain (duration sensitivity place ) after all these years. Does standing hurts? How many years or month do you feel you had to have for FULL recovery? I am worried alot and usually would be shocked of how I had this surgery and how it all happened fear spokes loudly.

@@xxxMowiixxx How is it now? I'm almost 4 months in and I limp a little bit because I don't have enough toe strength to push at the end of a step. I can walk up stairs unaided again but walking down is still tough.

@@mihal.freinquel y’all about full mobility. Does it ever become as “loose” or free moving as the other one. What have you noticed that you can and cannot do it better yet what types of movements have you noticed bring upon more pain or inflammation than others. I have a trimal fracture. Week 2. Everyday feels the same lmao. Also any diet tips while stuck in bed. I’m sorry if I’m asking so much. Just seems like it’s hard to find any info on this online.

My grandma broke both of her foot same sergery like you both.and she say is fine. You have your plates and screws on your foot?

Hey I broke my ankle 3 months ago and I'm just curious about how you fell after all these years since you're surgery and do you think I'll be able to go back to my job in framing house when I can walk somewhat normal again I know you're not a doctor but I would love to have you're opinion since you live true the experience of having a broken ankle 😩☹️

Of course it totally depends on your injury and how you recover, but I was back to doing regular life stuff within a year...and within two years even more. Like I mention in my videos, I don't think I'll ever be back to normal, but can certainly do normal stuff!

You know - I hate to be a downer, but my ankle still gives me issues. It gets tight, it pulls in weird places - so I make sure to get it massaged regularly, I also sometimes go to the chiropractor where he winds it around a lot and sometimes it adjusts. It's something that I believe will take me a lifetime of attention and diligence.
