The Brothers Four sing songs that are very pleasant to listen to, therefore songs for all times. It's impossible not to be enchanted by these songs. Thank you very much Mylene for sharing and providing me with pleasant moments.
The Brothers four... you have won my heart with your enchanting singing. The Green Fields... - I have loved this song since I was 14 y/o., and I still do.
The Brothers four, these four brothers play and sing the stars of heaven. A great combination of singing, guitars and a double bass. With 1 word, Great !!!
I was a teenager in Korea and listen to this song through Walkman while in school hidden in the backpack . No wonder I falling in love with America 🇺🇸!!
LOVED this group and ALL their songs! BURL IVES spent a lifetime saving folk songs which are really how legends were created and passed on to the new generations!
One of the first songs since I remember. My parents had been the students of University of Texas. My dad brought their greatest hits longplays home along with many singers' at times such as The Carpenter, John Denvers, and etc. I grown up with those beautiful songs.
I've always loved folk music and wish it were this way today. In my mind, it always will be. Descent; no swear words and/or excessive drama. The message comes across to those who listen. And it always will.
so good
Greenfields... I liked the melody back in the early 60's. One of my favorites since then. I was so fascinated with lots of American musics ( including of course those of the Ventures). I always enjoyed those melodies and rhythms. Started studying English almost at the same time. Now in 2020 I slowly begin to understand what the lyric says, while I was reading the English subtitles of this clip. The deep and melancholy meaning struck me. I just hope I'm not too old yet to learn something from it.
Green leaves and Green fields by Brothers Four are the most fascinationg melodies I've ever heard. Thank you very much fellows for bringing a piece of Heaven to Earth. (a fan in Brazil)
this is the kind of music I want to listen, they bring peace to my mind and a touch of love,, unlike of the music today..... how great the old time music
Would you believe ? I hold on to lines ,”I’ll keep on waiting,” I was unite once again with my loved one in marriage and had a happy family life .thanks to you 4 brothers . Alleluia!
Just saw an old clip of them singing this song...on PBS. They sound great. Beautiful song. I was SO young when they first did this song. wow. I'm so glad to find this and hear them now...so many years later.
Wow, it's great to hear you again. In the 1960s you made up a sizeable amount of my music collection. Your harmonies and musical themes bring a smile on my face. Hope to hear much more of The Brothers Four.
Eccezionali superbi meravigliosi dal 1960/61 li adoro. Green Fields Saint James Infirmary The Green leaves of Summer sono nella mia classifica a pari merito e poi un millimetro dopo tutte le altre.
To me this is one of the best songs ever recorded and no one sings it better than the Brothers Four. That being said, if you feel depressed this IS NOT a song you should listen to. It's beautiful, but very sad.
This song begins gently, then it becomes sad and it ends with à hopefull sentence : "I'll keep on waiting... until you bring it home, to the greenfields and me, once again ". Even "when dark clouds hide the day " there remains hope.
I first knew about this song in a guitar book back in 1974 in HongKong. I was captivated by its beauty. Since then, every now and then I like to listen to it again, filling my heart with nostalgia.
The Brothers Four - GreenFields Once there were green fields kissed by the sun. Once there were valleys where rivers used to run. Once there were blue skies with white clouds high above. Once they were part of an everlasting love. We were the lovers who strolled through green fields. Green fields are gone now, parched by the sun. Gone from the valleys where rivers used to run. Gone with the cold wind that swept into my heart. Gone with the lovers who let their dreams depart. Where are the green fields that we used to roam ? I'll never know what made you run away. How can I keep searching when dark clouds hide the day. I only know there's nothing here for me. Nothing in this wide world, left for me to see. Still I'll keep on waiting until you return. I'll keep on waiting until the day you learn. You can't be happy while your heart's on the roam, You can't be happy until you bring it home. Home to the green fields and me once again.
Greenfields by brothers four. Remember those days.Very soothing to the ears. Thanks for sharing especially the second song Hallelujah and the last AI no etc 😂😍🙏😇
These are forever songs in my heart...I did not know the last song...thank you for recording this and bringing back good memories of my youth...I'm 71 years old now and your music still makes me feel good...
this Green Fields song is my favorite song. i was 13 years old when i learn to sing this song thru a radio phono. now i am already 50 years old. i love music and i love hear an old songs. thanks a lot to the Everly Brothers who sung this song.
I love the songs sung by the Brothers Four. Specially I like the song "Try to Remember ",because it brings me back to my childhood. I am 68 years old.. I was born in Quarry Bay with lots of hills n water pools n riivers there. I got lots of chances to practice running n swimming. In the song it sang life was slow. When I was youny, life was also slow. I can enjoy every bits of life without hurry. I like that kind of life. Now HK is facing the terrible Omicron n everybody is unhappy. I recommend them to listen to songs of Brothers Four. Because they are so soothing n relaxing. When I am Down, I would think about happy things. e.g.. I hope when the Omicron is better, I can go for Staycation may be in Mui Wo the Silvermine Bsy Hotel. When we fight n the Omicron patients are cured n no one die. Then we can travel to other countries by take planes So think positively n you feel better !
