There's one thing I do not understand, have never understood, and probably never will, but if anyone can explain it to me so i can understand it that would be awesome. Im from Ontario, Canada, but i believe this is the same in a lot of areas in the world. When a terrorist/s(the governments term)take a hostage/s from(say)Canada, in order to get an important prisioner from their area released from prison in Canada, but our government(says)they dont do deals with terrorists, to the point where people have been killed. Im wondering how they would act if it was their loved one/s that were taken hostage, would they then do the deal with the terrorist/s. Is it not better to have all lives live than to save face in front of the world. I just dont see why it would be so bad to let them have their person/s for person/s. What makes it right for the government to decide the fate of the hostage/s when they bloody well know the torture they will go through before they get killed(remember the reporters who were beheaded).
