And likely due to his ordeal and trial as the ghost pushed him beyond anyone else in Japan the fear of him seizing power would rule the shogun and other clans so branding him a traitor is the only political choice that lines up with the historical accuracy this game is set in

His title of the Ghost of Tsushima fits, as he didn't just slaughter Mongols, he slaughtered bandits and other dishonorable Japanese as well.

No no, there actually were Female Samurai, like Lady Masako and such, but they didn't fight in battle like the men did.

@@maxm.m.7219 No, there were not. Japanese women were not allowed to be Samurai in real life. It was a patriarchal society. Lady Masako isn’t a Samurai in the game either, her husband was.
