Yoimiya is the character for the lazy like me. No mechanics needed. Activate shield, activate xq burst and just stand there to pew pew the enemies to death.

I enjoy running Yoi with Yelan, c6 Fischl and Zhongli. Not her best team but it still hits like a truck and looks like a laser light show. Breezed through the second half of floor 12 this rotation.

In terms of her banner, I have a feeling many would choose to save primos instead because of Sumeru coming very soon with new dendro characters and reactions. Yoimiya seems to have gotten the short end of the stick in banner timing again, with her previous banner being between Ayaka and Ei. Really is a shame since she is very fun to play

The thing with Yunjin's buff is that it gets multiplied when Yoimiya crits. Edit: I tested Yunjin's buff. However, these NA damage numbers are slightly rough estimates but enough to see the significance. My Yoimiya has 77.5% Crit Rate 174.4% Crit Damage Below are the resulting damage numbers of her first normal attacks: *Physical No Yunjin buff >Not crit: 1,300 >Crit : 3,800 With Yunjin buff >Not crit: 3600 >Crit: 10,500 *Pyro infused NA No Yunjin buff >Not crit: 2,800 >Crit : 8,000 With Yunjin buff >Not crit: 5,700 >Crit: 16,500 In short, with Yunjin's buff, you don't have to worry in getting to Yoimiya's last NA because Yunjin's buff works well on buffing low multipliers i.e. Yoimiya's first NA. This also makes it possible to dodge and shoot so you can get rid of a shielder like Zhongli and just replace him with a sub dps or a buffer like Bennett. This is how I play and get 36 stars in Abyss with her. But if I want to be comfortable, I can use Zhongli so I could just ungga bungga but still kill things with ease.

Even though she isn't the best, she is my favorite character by far, and her dps is far more satisfying then it needs to be for a f2p build, triple crowned and everything. even with some issues, shes still so much fun

I’m pulling for her because her autotargetting is so useful especially when you are facing something like an annoying flying boss like the wolflord. Also I really like her as a character! Manifesting to win my 50/50 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Owning both a tp Yoimiya and homa hutao, I use yoi much more. She’s so convenient, easy to use and does really good damage. I can’t wait to get constellations for her

I’ve just been wondering why they didn’t put heizou in her banner. That way she would at least get some more attention and sales. It could at least balance the over time profits. I think she will not do well due to Kazuha and Heizou together on one banner.

For people who dont have a high refinement rust: You can use the 3 star weapon, Slingshot at r5. The 0.3 second hit window is quite large and its low attack can be made up with bennett. The Slingshot can actually outdamage an r5 rust in some scenarios.

I accidentally got Yoimiya last Summer when she-and Sayu, who I was actually rolling for-first came out. At the time I was a little disappointed, but now she's one of my favorite characters to use, especially with supports like Xingqiu or Yelan. She's just so much fun!!!

Yoimiya is my first limited 5* character and my only 50/50 win at that (I've lost 7 50/50s in a row after her). Yoimiya has carried me from AR 21 all the way now to AR 57. She's my only triple crowned character and easily my most well-built one at that (w/ 2.2k atk 79/180 crit on 4pc Shimenawa and an R2 Rust). She's been in my overworld team since the day I got her and that will probably never change. I also use her all the time in abyss, in various kinds of teams, and she still carries my runs to a full 36* clear. Whenever my friends need help farming bosses, specters, or the rifthounds, they always ask me to bring my Yoimiya, because she makes things much easier. I had heard of the issues that theory crafters and content creators were saying about her, which was by the way super exaggerated and they were being very biased, when she first came out but I still pulled for her regardless because I enjoyed her playstyle, loved her design, and adored her personality and story quest. Seriously she did not and will never deserve any of the hate that anyone directed to her as she is far from the worst character in the entire game and is actually one of the most compassionate, caring, and wholesome characters lorewise

I don’t get why people say she’s “fine”. Her damage is amazing and pairing her with supports like yelan, Bennett, yun Jin and so on will make her destroy the game.

Let me clarify something about Yoimiya's lack of of AOE. It doesn't mean that she's weak against groups of smaller enemies. Quite the contrary. Let me give a real world example. A machine gun also doesn't have any AOE, but it is one of the most effective anti-infantry weapons. Same with Yoimiya. Yes, she can only kill mobs 1 by 1, but she does it so quickly that she feels like a one man firing squad. You literally mow down groups of hilichurls or treasure hoarders. The only situation she struggles with is when there are two or three beefy enemies at the same time, and the fight is time gated. Which normally only happens in the abyss. Apart from being ill-suited for that specific scenario, she is absolutely fine as a DPS.

yoimiya is the only character i wanted that wasn't based off of meta, i wanted her simply for her character design and her endearing personality... i've been debating on finish building her to lvl 90 and crowning her NA(thx for the correction) and E, since I do have a R5 Rust and a somewhat decent shimenawa set so her current stat is at lvl 79 and 75/166

I have been waiting for her rerun since I love her design and easy gameplay. It sucks that she's after Kazuha and right before Sumeru. Hopefully I can get her early and start saving primos for Nilou and Kusanali. Good luck to anyone wishing for her!

When you have a guarantee 5 star in the next pull and now you are torn between pulling for kazuha or to wait for yoimiya.... yeah

I'd argue her flexibility and great synergy with most supports and subdps' is also a huge bonus in her favor, you can run her in so many comps it's not even funny. Not all characters in this game can afford you this many playstyles. Not all of them are made equal, but having the variety also helps with team building and makes the game more fun.

As someone with a staff of homa hu tao since patch 1.3, I chose yoimiya over her the vast majority of the time if I need a pyro dps 😅 On paper single target doesn’t sound as good, but yoimiya with good supports is just so strong and convenient and kills everything so easily that it doesn’t matter at all lol

People often compare C1 Hu Tao with Homa to Yoimiya with Pulse and they say that Yoimiya sucks. Yoimiya is much more f2p friendly. Her constellations and weapon are a minor improvement over C0 Rust. A f2p Yoimiya is practically the same as Hu Tao. Yoimiya is also much more flexible when it comes to teams. Meanwhile Hu Tao is so reliant on charged attack that she is forced to be run with vape. Hu Tao best team has Zhongli and Albedo. Meanwhile Yoimiya's best team uses Zhongli and Yunjin instead of Albedo. Hu Tao is clunky forcing players to cancel animations for optimal play. She also has major stamina issues that her C1 fixes. Hu Tao also prefers to stay at low health. This is a major downside when damage goes through shields like corrode or when self damaging reactions come out Hu Tao with dendro. People who have Hu Tao will say that Yoimiya is bad. People who have Yoimiya will say that she's fine. People who have both will say that Hu To is slightly better but they will end up using Yoimiya for convenience.

If I fail to get Kazuha by the time his banner ends I wouldn’t mind getting yoimiya because I personally find her range to be her best attribute, especially in the abyss when there’s a ton of ranged/airborne units

Yall saying her burst is useless because of Shimenawa... Use Bollide so that you can spam her burst and do vape Aurous Blaze dmg with Xq or Yelan. Using her burst first in a rotation can buff xq's rain sword dmg or Yelan's ult. Bollide also further fortifies her shield making her normal attk chains hard to interrupt

ive found yoimiya really fun to play recently, yelan really improved my enjoyment of her as well, i dont like the feel of hutaos charged attack playstyle and diluc got boring after 6 months, i think for most players who end up passively farming a good shimenawas she will probably suprise you with her consistency. of all my teams she one phases the raiden shogun boss the fastest and does so consistently. also any one having issues with ruin serpent give her a shot, she decimates it

I love yoimiya so much, and I often take her to abyss when the enemies have large HP pools. She hasn't failed me yet to 36* my abyss runs. She might not be meta but she's so easy to play and you only need her at c0 to shred. I run her with c3 yun jin, c0 zhongli and c6 xingqiu and its a very fun team to play I think.

(I typed this before watching the video, so I’ll probably repeat a number of things that he says in the vid ^^;) I got Yoimiya during her first banner, around AR 45. I was initially let down since she didn’t do big numbers like my friends’ characters, however after way too long I’ve finally given her the artifacts she deserves, an aqua simulacra and a bunch of supports for her team (Zhongli, Bennett, and now Kazuha). She is by far my favourite character to play: her attack animations are beautiful and *with support* her single target numbers are on par with my ganyu’s. Seriously. She can deal 80-120k per round of attacks. Seeing the health bar drain on big enemies is super satisfying to watch. The key things to note for Yoimiya is that support is vital. She’s definitely capable at soloing, however she is a squishy character and very much appreciates a shield. Bennett, Yunjin, Kazuha, Xingqui, and Yelan are all great options for her, because she can either work in a vape or mono pyro team. She is single target. She can take down a few targets simultaneously but cc characters are simply better at her at dealing with large groups. The issue is less prevalent with kazuha in your team, but for abyss always have Yoimiya going against the big enemies. As like every character, getting a good build/team for Yoimiya will take time- however I wholeheartedly believe that Yoimiya is one of the most rewarding characters to play Good luck Yoimiya wanters! 👍

I play mainly on mobile and she's very easy to play. No complicated mechanics to optimize her. Just shield her (Zhongli, Thoma, Diona, etc.), use her with other supports or sub-DPS (preferably Yun Jin, Bennet, Yelan/XQ, Beidou, Fishcl), and your set. You can regularly 36* the Abyss with her various team comps too. She just got better over time with the release of mobile and flying enemies and in the form of characters such as Yelan and Yun Jin

Shes my main since the moment the specters came out i was like i need her since they didn't get nerf at that time very good single dps target especially in bosses that doesn't have pyro immune

As a happy Yoi main, she’s very fun to play! Shes my strongest character for boss fights but also one of the most fun units in my roster. Good luck to any Yoimiya wanters!!

I got Yoimiya on her first banner and I still absolutely love her! Been using her mainly in overloaded teams and with her I'm having so much more fun than with a majority of units in this game.

Yoimiya is my absolute favorite character in the entire Game. I love her design, her lovely personality, her gorgeous animations, it is lovely. While I do love Yelan a bit more because her design and playstyle are fabulous, nothing could replace Yoimiya's place in my heart. She is great, she is spunky and fun, and she will be the first character I ever actually whale for.

I was one of the few ppl who actually chose to skip both Kazuha and Ayaka because I was planning to pull for Yoimiya. never regret it until today.

I hope the abyss has more floor 13 - 14 or more to allow a third team. Because i already full star all abyss with ease. So that people would encourage to pull more unit. I like to have yoimiya but dont have a reason to pull for her. And i need to complete my archon.

I love Yoimiya. I've been using her as my Main Pyro DPS over Hu Tao. She doesn't consume stamina, she's ranged, she doesn't miss, you barely have to move her when attacking so long as she has a shield, etc.

i would say yoimiya has the most freedom when it comes to team building and works with the most characters out of any dps in the game.

been saving for her rerun cos i want her so bad in my vaporize team, so i've prepared all of her stuffs and planning to c6 and get her signature weapon (artifact sets with decent stats, ascend materials, talents, and even got her sub weapons ready r5 rust, and hamayumi) i pray for all yoimiya wanters become yoimiya havers

A proud Yoimiya haver here. She's very fun to play no cap. I usually use new characters to farm for their friendship exp but with Yoimiya, I didn't even realize that she's already friendship 10 cuz her gameplay is so interesting

Yoimiya is my favourite DPS in the game. Using her with Fischl, Zhongli and Xingqiu. I just love her fast spam clicking playstyle with her infused attacks which is also a very comfortable because you can just stand and spam click. She isn't as strong as Hu Tao but she is definitely good enough to do 36* Abyss and between Hu Tao, Ayaka, Raiden and Yoimiya, Yoimiya is my dps of choice. +She is absolutely adorable and her ornaments are really pretty. So yeah, I recommend trying her out in the trial because she is really fun to play.

Hu tao is great, but doesn't make yoimiya a bad character.

I really like Yoimiya. I was really happy when I got her. Exploring became so much easier since I don't need to constantly switch teams when there's flying enemies, torches, enemies on towers etc. A very comfortable unit to use, you just neet to click auto atk especially when you have a good shielder.

My Yoimiya team is the team I have used the most since she came out. I'm AR 60 with basically my pick of most of the roster but I keep coming back to her. She's a very comfy character to relax and play. I feel like a lot of the Genshin community is so conditioned to look for damage per screenshot that they devalue ease of use.

I wish her E worked like Ayato where I could just hold left click for less spamming. Would be perfect.

Truth to be told, in this days with the Yun Jin and Yelan comp she deal more damage of Hu Tao vs boss especially if they have mobility and/or can fly like Ruin Serpent and Golden Wolflord and she work very well with 4 star bow like Rust and she is easy to use. Hu Tao win vs group of enemy, but there are better units for fight versus numerous group of enemy Even if i have alredy have Hu Tao i will try for 1 copy of her, last time i have skip her banner for Raiden, but now before the 3.1 there aren't unit that interest me, soo no sense holding back

10:14 has this been fact checked? Im sure this is not her best team bcs Yunjin is better than Bennett and Zhongli is wayy more practical than kazuha to ensure Yoimiya lands that massive dmging 5th hit uninterrupted. Edit: 12:02 now this is just straight up false. Her best support Yunjin is not top tier support for any other team besides her. There’s also Yelan who no other team uses because Xingqiu is arguably better bcs of dmg resistance and interruption resistance. The only top tier support Yoimiya really use is Zhongli which can be replaced with Thoma or any other shielder. So no Yoimiya does not hog all top tier supports to herself she is probably the best 2nd vaporise team you could use for spiral abyss because unlike Diluc or Hu Tao she DOESN’T hog top tier supports to herself. You’re giving the wrong impression to people who wanted her for a 2nd vape team in spiral abyss

as someone who got her in her first banner , i can safely say she's still my favourite char (raiden close second) in fact she's my only crowned char , i run her with r2 rust (ik unlucky) yet she is still able to clear abyss , if u like her and her insanely cute va and normal attack animation definetly get her she will carry you in single target situations and she's a flexible unit as she has a ton of teams ( vapr , overvape , overload...) anyways , i hope all yoimiya wanters will be yoimiya havers :D

Got her right after Ayaka's first banner ended then also got Shogun right after Yoimiya's first banner ended too. Got Ayaka → got Yoimiya → got Shogun, won triple 50/50. The thing with Yoimiya is, she have the highest NA multiplier among all bow characters. Her role is a ranged single target dps, and i hate it when a bunch of 🤡 keeps comparing her with Hu Tao and calls Yoimiya as trash...like seriously...ppl have different ways to play and enjoy their game.

Back when i first got hutao i thought she is so good. But she is lock with constellation (if you are playing on mobile) its mandatory to get c1. But after i got yoimiya i dont use hutao that much anymore.

She deals a lot of damage in a short time, most of her damage comes from normal attacks and she's easy to use, personally i don't enjoy switching characters a lot of times even though that's the only way to deal big numbers in genshin so i just use zhongli for his shield and switch to yoimiya, honestly any character can deal big numbers in genshin if you find the right strategy so you shouldn't worry too much about meta, if you like her design you should pull for her

Even tho Yoimiya is outdamaged by HuTao, I still choose Yoimiya over HuTao anyday, because she has simpler game play that's all. She helps me clear Abyss 12 all the time, especially single target bosses

I got Kazuha and did another 70 pulls before finally getting Heizou so now I have 70 pity in, no guarantee, and exactly 20 more wishes for an even 90 total, I'm PRAYING i get her next 10 pulls with everything farmed for her to level 90 + 8/8/7 talents, lvl 90 aqua simulacra and an artifact set getting her 80%crit rate over 215% crit damage- i am READY for her

When I first tried her I loved her gameplay but after I keep trying her in events I find myself liking her playstyle less. It's a shame really she's a nice character but not the playstyle for me

Her contribution during the archon quest never gets enough attention I feel... She literally helped vision holders escape the vision hunt decree by helping them get fake visions to give out

I think that thanks to Yelan, she is finally in a far better position, than she was in the past. In the past, when she was released, no one played her, because Hu Tao did in her team better, which was also a good team for Yoimiya. However, now with Yelan addition, even Yoimiya can get a good partner and her top team, which you have showed is really META team. It can really slain enemies so fast that even Hu Tao's team is basically just a little bit faster. So yea, she is finally penetrating meta, which is so good and I'm happy for her. I don't have her, but I have C5 bennet and Yelan with Kazuha, so she is the last part and the most primary role, which I still need and which I lack, so I will definitely go for her and have a fun with her. I wanted her first time too, but I chose Ayaka that time, they were in the same time, so I needed skip her, but now I will try to get her.

ganyu is not in the meta anymore, IMO. I will not choose a ganyu over yoimiya. and you dont need yelan or bennet or kazuha. i usually just do xinqu, and yoimiya everything dies. else i add a yunjin and we are good. she is my best pyro dps. cause she is just too easy to use and does insane damage. the only time i will use an hutao over her is CRYO hypostasis to one shot it.

The introduction of yujin gave yoimyia some amazing new style, without her she is still really good, but with yujin yoimia can get to hutao level of brokeness and even better in some scenarios.

Her smile brings joy to me and so i need to get her thundering pulse

finally, fighting flight enemy is one of the most important kit in yoimiya and u emphasize it. most content creator dont even touch on that aspect.

I returned playing genshin because yoimiya back in v2.0, been saving up primos to get her weapon and maybe up to c3 (didn't pull for kazuha, coz yelan, bennet and yunjin are enough supports for me) I really enjoy her gameplay and really just love pyro dps as a whole (got hu tao as dps for my other team) Really happy that her banner is returning, can't wait to pull for her weapon and const hopefully not losing to 50/50. 🤣 Thanks IWTL for this vid about my favorite character. 🥳

Yoimiya rerun in like 2 days and I just started playing genshin 2 weeks ago, I hope I can get her. Saved up primos and fates for like 50 pulls only 😭😭😭

I believe she was the first character that I simply pulled out of sympathy. She's such a sunshine, I couldn't resist.

After knowing 3.0 banner is like that, i wholeheartedly all in pull for thundering pulse and yoimiya. No regret at all

As someone mentioned.. Slingshot bow is also quite good for her.. I still have bad artifacts (1700 ATK, 84% CR & 131.6%CD), but with Yun Jin, Xingqiu and Bennett, she is still able to deal up to 40k dmg with this consistent crit rate. Certainly better than R3 Hamayumi, which I used before. Also.. she was on banner with already mentioned Yun Jin and Bennett, so it was quite worthy banner.

I didn’t really want Yoimiya, but while trying to get Sayu last year she came home super early and I didn’t expect it. I didn’t know how to feel about it at first but wow, she’s one of my favorite characters to play! Pretty much since getting her I’ve ran her on my main team. No regrets! ♥️🧡

I pulled on her banner last year and got her. She is now one of my most built character, simply because of how much emblem sets I have to farm. I plan to go for her bow if it comes back.

Am interesting thing to consider is how well she scales with attack-speed buffs (which is sparse right now). If we get more characters/weapons/artifacts/resonance in the future to increase attack-speed this could be a game-changer for Yoimiya (and maybe Eula). Since normal attacking is pretty underpowered atm there's a decent chance we'll get something.

Yoimiya is soooo much fun to play and an awesome character. C0, Rust R5 + double crowned and is better than my 3-crowned Hutao c2 with a 5star weapon and decent artifacts for both. yoimiya changes your playstyle and just desintegrates in a team with, for example, yelan and raiden. Love her :)

I have 5 5-stars dps which are Yoimiya, Ayaka, Eula, Ganyu, Diluc (c4). And so far Yoimiya is still one of my 2 main dps i the most use in the Abyss along with Ayaka. A small fact about Yoimiya that i think most people don't know is her AA is not single target. If you can group two enemies really close, her aa can does dmg to both at the same time, i just accidentally discovered this recently when i fighted first half of chamber 1 floor 12.

I've stuck with Meta-ish characters for way too long now, so I'm extremely excited for her rerun. As fun as it is to use Raiden, Eula, Ayaka, and Kazuha to clear content quickly, it gets VERY stale after a few months (or in the case of Kazuha, after a year straight of using him in almost every team). I'm really hoping that I win the 50/50 and get Yoimiya, since I have not used a 5 star bow character on my main before, and I miss using characters that dont rely on their bursts to output a consistently high amount of damage.
