@jeffreybankers3988 it came with a few bolts of different lengths. But I think I had to use the nut provided with the DDpro wheel base as they slide into a recess. It is a great stand. 💯
The best thing about this stand is it’s rigidity compared to the classic! There is also an upgrade path to make it into a full rig for an extra $100 - 130 CAD depending if there is a sale or discounts. If you are on a budget just go to the scrap yard and get a preferably leather non power passenger seat (I recommend an Audi A4 $46 CAD or VW Jetta seat since the mounting bolts are even and flat and the seat also has up and down adjustment on the fly that most rigs don’t offer) I found this rig more sturdy than the ART and more adjustable/customizable than the Titan.
I have the Apex ordered and should be here later this week. The way it is designed, I don’t see any way of adding on the seat. The Classic looks like it could be added but the Apex looks soldered off. Am I missing something?
@@Dubstepconcept have to agree. Hence the $150 price tag. Or less on sale. All the other stands that are well built AND upgradable cost more, some significantly more.
Im currently on DIY pallet wood thing I built with G29 because its just way to expensive to buy in South Africa, being competitive thus far with what I have. Hoping and praying for a new and better setup
Thanks for that Info! I just went and ordered the RS6. Now if it helps my lap times it will be worth it - a table and old office chair are not the best option to get golds in Time Trials! 😄
Been sim racing for 6 months and i ordered this yesterday and i plan on update it with the char attachment and im planning to keep this and my g923 w acelith gt wheel mod for 2 to 3 years and then ill buy a proper rig and i think this is the perfect solution for my issue also i tend to stay outside of my country for months due to work .
Hello, quick question : could you use it on your couch, instead of a chair? Can the wheel be lowered enough (my couch seat is about 40cm height). Thanks!
It seems like the ideal upgrade to go for. I have a wheel stand already but its a single aliminium post type stand, not particularly comfy, nor stable as it sways back and forth etc.
Hi i have there Gt Apex stand and will bye the chair add on .But was looking to get a Moza r12 with Fanatec v2 pedles would this stand work well with the 12nm wheel ? cheers James
J'ai un wheel stand pro et je dois avouer que la barre au milieu est un vrai problème pour moi! cette solution peut être plus intéressante avec mon siège Gaming Corsair! Merci pour ta vidéo Digit!
Great review, thanx a lot. How much does the Apex weigh including your Wheel Base and pedals? I would like to get an impression if it is duable to set it up and carry it away around twice a week for gaming. Thanx a lot.
Hello, great video! What is the maximum angle you can set the wheel base? I mostly playing truck sims and looking for a more upright driving position than a race car?
If you buy the Rear Seat Frame, the Trak Racer Seat Bracket and connect a seat you can somewhat emulate a Formula seat position (this is what I have done)
I was thinking about getting this. How well do you think it would work if i put it on carpet and didn't use the chair attachment with a 8nm fanatec DD pro?
It will work, but I do recommend using the chair link, otherwise you'll have some movement while braking. But everything depends on the pedals, my V3s take a lot of force so a chair link is a must
Love this im gonna be getting a setup very soon 🎉🎉🎉🎉 im definitely gomna invest in a good chair because yes you can get away with using whatever but long term, especially if youre grinding this game, your lower back is gonna 🦆💦🐜🦆🐜🌒👍❤️💞💸💩😃😈😸💸😸🍖😸🦆❤️🐜😸🐜😸🐟😃❤️
I am interested on the apex too for a csl dd 5nm. Id get a full rig but one its expensive and 2 space is limited... And cause of the 60kg loadcell brake. That thing is so stiff you cannot brake without lifting the whole pedal assembly off the floor 😅
