I agree and thus it is safe to assume a proper warm up first. This guy is a world class coach. He was,I believe, the US olympic coach for either Oly lifting or power lifting.
Weird, I do almost an identical warm up before snatches, but I do the drop snatches as snatch balances instead of keeping the bar overhead, and I do it with a bar not a pvc pipe.
Awesome!!! America's Senior International Weightlifting Coach is demented, and cares about warmup for Crossfit. Best of luck at weightlifting in Rio 2016.
I wouldn't say he is demented. He is paid to come in and teach crossfitters the basics of weightlifting. His career has been strictly weightlifting. I don't think he cares alot for crossfit except for the weightlifting aspect of it. Why so negative?
Kocis19 Yeah, sorry about that. Cross-fit is alright. My negativity was intended for American weightlifting coaches who spend most of their time promoting themselves by "inventing" routines and exercises. These coaches completely dominate the web with stupid articles and videos yet have not produced a single remarkable athlete. The last time an American man won a gold medal in weightlifting in the Olympics was in the 1960's. Weightlifting is suffering abuse in US because it lacks real coaches.
I think more importantly it lacks the funding. It's not a mainstream sport in America, weightlifters aren't treated like big wigs and taken care of like they are in other countries like Russia and China.
I really love this movie. RU-vid is good for this sort of info.My homeboy was formerly bullied. He said he was about to get bigger. I chuckled at him. I didn't think he would.... Til unexpectedly he gained 40 pounds of genuine muscle. He tried the Muscle Building Bible - look in Google. Not a soul dares to intimidate the man these days. :-) I actually registered last week. See what will happen. Not to mention the mans emails are fucking interesting!!!
it was much ado about nothing. no real instruction for a excersise that does even less just go back to weights, warm up first, let richard simmons lead group classes
