Sourcing Halal meat is one of the biggest issues faced by many Muslims living in regional towns across Australia, with many having to drive long hours, some as far as seventeen hours from places like Port Hedland in WA to source culturally appropriate products from the nearest city.
And during the Covid-19 lockdowns, this traditional route became more complicated than ever.
Seeing the struggle of his local community, an entrepreneur from the Goldfields in outback Western Australia, decided to open a small online business to help his Muslim communities source Halal certified products.
He now delivers goods across regional WA and hopes a similar approach can be adopted in the eastern states.
