The C Word | Health Update 

Bethany you're amazing. It won't matter what anyone says, you'll feel how you feel and you do what you need to do to make yourself feel better. So different but when I lost my hair I felt hideous. I tried wigs but essentially didn't feel comfortable with them...I felt better in headscarves or just being bald. basically my ramble is just my way of saying, you look gorgeous and whatever you want and need to do to make yourself feel better is the right thing to do. Xx

Good news that your eye wasn’t anything too serious and you can breathe a sigh of relief, as I imagine it was weighing heavy on your mind, I had a feeling in the last couple of vlogs that you guys seemed a little stressed out, but don’t put too much pressure on yourselves to put a ‘front’ on because you think people only want to see happy content - I find it inspiring how real and genuine you guys are and you tell everybody exactly what’s going on, just reminds us that we all go through hard times and it’s ok not to always be ok, wishing you guys all the best as always ✨🌺

I'm so sorry for the hard times you've been having and thank you so much for sharing. Being honest about those things doesn't ever take away from you all wanting to share happy times and spread positivity. They go hand in hand. Bethany, you're in my prayers always. Whenever you're comfortable picking up the camera or sharing what you're going through, we're all right here, not judging, walking through it with you. Also: "I'm over here talking about how proud I am for having a protein shake and you're like, 'How am I gonna live my life?'" 😂😂 You're one of my favorite humans, Bethany 😂

Hi Bethany! Nice to hear from you (my old username was soulvacation, you might remember me from months ago when I watched you before!). I totally understand how it feels to not want to look at yourself on camera/mirror because of something on your face. For the last few months my cystic acne has got really bad (I'm not talking a few spots... I'm talking red lumps and scars all over my face/chin/jaw) and it has made me SO self conscious. It gradually got worse in September for no apparent reason and I'd often get a massive lump on my chin along with other spots. Hated looking in the mirror, hated seeing anyone without makeup, even my husband. And even the makeup didn't help because you could still see the raised areas. Thankfully it's got a bit less angry during lockdown and I feel like it is ruling me less. But I totally sympathise. It doesn't feel like you can be yourself because you are so self conscious and it feels suffocating. What I can say is that I think you are totally right that your eye does look better, when you first appeared on camera I thought to myself "oh her eye looks so much better!" (if that helps). The added stress of it maybe being cancerous must have been so scary. I'm glad you felt able to pick up the camera but I understand there are good days and bad days. But progress is progress! And it sounds like the doctor is positive. Hope this doesn't sound at all patronising, I just wanted to say I know some of how you feel and I hope it continues to get better, but no matter what you are beautiful outside and in

The video title scared me! Bethany I’m not trying to be dismissive of your feelings, but HONESTLY your little bump is barely noticeable! I really don’t think I’d have noticed if I didn’t know it was there. I know it’s completely different when it’s on your own face- I’ve had issues a couple of times with a blocked salivary gland that caused swelling of one of my cheeks. I could feel it as soon as it started to swell and felt like my face looked COMPLETELY distorted and weird, but my girlfriend couldn’t even see what I was talking about and thought I was going mad! Haha. Please don’t feel self conscious- you’re beautiful, and your face just looks weird to you because you know every millimetre of it so well! I’m so glad the cyst wasn’t anything sinister. 💙

Dans little speech at the end made me cry 😢 I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby and am going through the redundancy process. Me and my husband own our own house so I’m super scared of losing our house but watching you guys and hearing what Dan has to say about it all is so inspiring 💕 I wish the best for you all and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds 💞 stay safe x

I'm 23. When I was 19 doctors found a large tumour in my breast. They weren't able to 100% rule out cancer until after it was removed with surgery. Thankfully when i woke up they told me it was benign. But that process from the first time noticing it, through appointments and biopsies and finally to surgery was 6months. I was terrified for 6 months that I may have breast cancer at 19 years old. Then last year I had a blood test for ovarian lumps which showed extremely high levels of prolactin. There were no other reasons why my prolactin should have been up that high. So I had to have 2 MRIs on my brain to see if I had a tumor in my pituitary gland. They found nothing abnormal and we still dont know why it was so high. Not long after I was diagnosed with endometriosis. For some reason my body loves to grow tissue that shouldn't be there... I understand the scare, the stress and the emotional toll it takes on a person. Wishing you all the best Bethany. You're a strong woman. ❤
