The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort | **NEW** DVC Cabin Room Tour 

Taking the whole "this shouldn't be DVC" thing out of the equation AND all the issues that we encounter, I do think that The Cabins is going to knock it out of the park for some families. It's such a unique experience, unlike anything else you'll find here at WDW, and it's no wonder why people loved the old cabins so much.

Wow! You know, that's something that slipped right by me when we were doing the tour. THANK YOU for pointing it out. I will say, they do have a handheld shower sprayer that has multiple settings that might make the shower experience a little easier. My understanding is that all of the cabins will have this layoit, with the potential exception of ADA cabins. Thanks again for sharing that. We always appreciate additional sets of eyes! 😀

For sure! Along with making us have to trudge across the whole cabin (not that it's 100' long) to use the bathroom. Why would they not attach it to the bedroom like before?!?

I'm right there with you! This is NOT a "deluxe" experience in any way whatsoever. It's a literal moderate resort that has been updated, which was probably necessary anyway due to the condition of the old cabins, with a DVC sticker affixed on it. . . . that's it. I haven't stayed at the SSR Treehouse Villas yet, but it's part of our lineup before the end of the year, which I am SUPER excited about.

The Cabins are roughly about 30 feet apart. Of course, it depends on where you're situated some cabins have a slightly bigger gap between them. It's right on par with what you'd expect to find at any other campground, if you're familiar with the layout of KOAs or similar.

@@2foolishmortals Got it. I noticed another cabin was visible when you went onto the deck at the end. I was wondering if multiple tiers of campground areas were offered where guests could pay a higher price for more privacy and room.

Yeah, the Cabins are pretty close togehter. We were at the end of the loop, so the cabins in front of us were definitely not as close as the cabin that was behind us. When it comes to tiers, this is where some people get frustrated with the transition of these cabins over to DVC. The cabins at Fort Wilderness were the highest tier at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Below that would be like preferred full hookup campsires and the lowest tier being primitive campsites. The Cabins themselves are just one category of cabins. . . so you get what you get with The Cabins.

@@annlavine3576 It definitely is a pain, especially because the laundry for The Cabins was completely gutted and unavailable.

I’m having a harder time getting past one bathroom for up to 6 people! Is this a normal ratio for a one bedroom villa?

@@fbueller Usually it's one bathroom for 5 guests, but the bathroom is pretty big and is divided making it ideal; even if you have a full house. If you check out one of our 1BR Villa tours you can get a better idea of what I mean.

​@@fbuellerI want to say there are 2 DVC resorts that at least have 1.5 ba for the 1br villa...but most are 1 bathroom set-ups. That's also because most 1 bedrooms don't sleep 6. It's weird, but most sleep 4...🤷🏼‍♀️
