I've been using at-home RF for over 3 years and have never experienced that. And I use it 2-3 times a week. Now if you go in-office and do a professional treatment it is possible.
Ok, Ms. JodyLynn. As mentioned in an earlier comment they’re 50% off sales is still happening, which I’ve taken advantage of. However, it’s been over 2 weeks and no follow up, including shipping deets or replies to email, DM.
Hi Jody , is it infrared light or just red (I don’t think I spelled that right lol) , can you turn it off and just have red light therapy? I’m only asking because Penn explained that if red light is causing hyperpigmentation then don’t by the infrared or if you do make sure you can turn it off and just use it alone with “red light “ . This was for a LED mask . The mask I’m trying to buy is out of stock that has red light alone so I might have to buy the one at Harrods in London that has bought but one can be turned off . Sorry that was long winded. I just miss my light therapy…and before I waste more money on a device I can’t use , well I’m asking ❤
Hello! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Yes, NIR (Near Infrared), penetrates a bit of heat and can potentially irritate melasma. I don't have melasma, so it doesn't bother me. I have hyperpigmentation but my hyperpigmentation doesn't "flare up" at certain times. This device, the Lumo, doesn't have just a RLT mode. The RLT on this device is integrated with other technologies in the mode. It is RLT not NIR. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
I read/watched a lot on this device. The possibility of melting facial fat scares me. Is there any way to use electroporation and ems without the rf on Lumo?
You do not need to worry about facial fat melting with RF. I've been using RF for almost 4 years and continue to do so! If it would cause facial fat loss, it definitely would have done it by now. Always use as directed. At-home RF devices does not cause facial fat loss. In-Office is totally different. No, the RF on the Lumo is on every mode except the cool mode.
@AgingNaturallywithJodylynn I really wanted to try RF Again but I was weary of spending too much money. And this was really inexpensive in the scheme of things. I think I paid about a hundred and thirteen dollars or something. My feeling was well if this doesn't work out I don't really care. It did order the Venus for around the eyes. I believe you're a fan of that? Same thought process not too expensive.
