Pavlov the Cairn Terrier came to me during my work day with urgency and some sort of unexplained need to chat with me. Everything I told him we did... treats, run, walk, play, park... immediately afterwards. I promise

I have a 7 year old male Cairn Terrier named Oz .. he does his head the same way as Pavlov when me and my husband are talking to him ... we love Oz tremendously .. I hope Pavlov gets to feeling better soon and thank you for sharing this :)
This is bringing me lots of comfort. My darling little cairn, Johnny was put to sleep on Thursday and it broke my heart. I miss him so much. Your little boy's face is so like Johnny's and he also responded to my chat like that. It gives me hope I will love another one as much x
I lost my cairn terrier last March to diabetes and bladder cancer. He was 11 yrs old and the love of my life. I am lost without him. Watching this video is a bitter sweet moment. I can't believe their similarities. I hope to find another one some day. Thanks for sharing.
Pamelina I missed this.... OH MY! We lost our sweethearts at the same time. All I can say is that we still celebrate and love him, but we adopted a new Cairn from Col Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue, and they are WONDERFUL. Our new little girl is a sweetheart, and a new love in our life. Spread that love that was your whole world, and share it with a new creature. Your sweet love would have adored you sharing all the tummy rubs and sweet kindness you gave. HUGS TO YOU. SUPER HUGS!
All dogs are wonderful but there’s something about Cairn terriers that make them a little more special. I’m so sorry for your loses. My Quinny is 11 and started having seizures with no known cause. The thought of losing her is just unbearable and I am devastated. God bless the cairn terriers who have given us so much of themselves and brought so much joy and happiness for so many years. I hope you all are healing. ❤️ please pray for my Quinny.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Pavlov. It's incredibly difficult to lose a best friend. I can't imagine the day I lose my best friend; a wonderful chihuahua/beagle mix with the awesome name of Pavlov. From watching the videos of your Pavlov it's obvious both Pavlovs are something special. I will walk my Pavlov a little longer tonight in honor of your dear Pavlov.
@unclefishbits My father was a carpenter and built two "toy chests" that are made out of pine with a hinged lid to store things in. We had a ramp that attached to them. We covered the top of the chest and the ramp with berber carpeting. He made them when Teddi was a puppy so she could get on the couch and my bed without jumping. She took to them right away and would race up because I would throw a treat on the couch or bed. My father and I lived together and Teddi was our pet.
I know we talked a year ago or so on one of your videos, but little Jester has been with us almost a year now, and he does that exact same head tilt that Pavlov did, typically when he's curious about something or a little uncertain. Also, while I still love this video and it's adorable, I should thank you - I was programming something recreationally and little Jester came up and asked / demanded to hop up on my lap and chew a rawhide while I worked. He noticed my monitor and started growling at it, regardless of what I had up, so I flipped open RU-vid and put on this video for him and he calmed right down. I hope all is well with you. Pavlov is soooooo cute :) We'll have our first cairn next week (we already have a boxer), and the whole family loves watching Pavlov, expecting our puppy to be as cute and expressive as your dog :) Greetings from Switzerland ;)

The basket with all the toys is so true. Teddi had a basket of her own with all her toys and shirts. (she also had two toy chest/ramps my father built her so she didn't have to jump to get up on the couch or bed!
dogs are one of ours human our best friend, a friend one could ever have. God create dog so that we can have fun with to know how much God Himself care about Us.dogs are blesses from God to us. i love dogs
@unclefishbits I think I enjoy watching you both with Pavlov because he acts so much like Teddi did. When she was 10 she developed Pancreatitis and I almost lost her then. After she got through that it did damage her so that she became diabetic and needed insulin. We were together for 2 more years, then she went into seizures and had to be put to sleep. She was as I have said, truly a gift.

Kenzie Brigner THANK YOU! I am very sad to say he passed in August of 2014.... but he lived a beautiful life, we remember him constantly, he is in our hearts (and pics all over our home)... and to remember his spirit we adopted a little girl from ***** .... a little gal named Norway. She's 5, and happy to loved. I have some more vids of that little girl to post, soon. I also have a lot more of Pavlov to go through... so he will live on for a long time. Thank you for commenting, too... you are so kind, and you bring him back to me.

@unclefishbits I had never had a terrier before, so I didn't realise what "comedians" they were. She was so funny she kept us laughing all the time. I loved how she would "howl" instead of bark sometimes. I never heard a dog do that before her.
My dad calls that tilty head when he tilts his head, As well when their ears are down he calls it roundy head. A cairn terrier changes a household forever they become family members!

They all go at some point... all that matters is that they have a loving family. =) He passed away, and we're still a devastated. But it was so quick, and without pain, and surrounded by loved ones. 14 1/2 years of the most special and important years of my life. =/ Thanks for so much love! Hug Pippy tight for us. omg.. i love this video. My dog bobo use to do that with his head...cock it to the side. He was a cairn terrier too. i had to put him to sleep at age 13 ..but i gotta new one. still miss bo tho
