Universal message to all. From Adam to Noah, Abraham to Moses, Jesus to Muhammad. May peace and blessings of Allah (s.w.t) be upon them all. We are all brothers and sisters in humanity! love to all!
that's because they're all offerings of the same, illiterate bedouin culture. Islam is a bad work of plagiarism of Christianity synthesized with Pre-Islamic Arabian pagan traditions whereas Christianity is a plagiarism of Judaism and early Abrahamism, no wonder all three share an analogous message What are the odds that all three revelations of God would occur in the same district? And assuming that humans have been around for 250,000 years, what are the odds that god would wait 247,000 of those years to reveal himself and that too, to an illiterate and superstitious part of the Middle-East instead of, say, to the Chinese (who could already at that point, read and write)? Or to the Indus Valley? The latter two civilizations were at that point, where most human beings were populated. Utter nonsense
@@nad1ax2 Firstly, God didn’t decide to show himself with Judaism, Christianity or Islam. Worshipping of the God that all these religion believe in started from the first human Adam. If Islam have copied from Christianity, how did it not copy the historical or scientific mistakes that bible have. Chinese and Indo valley and other parts of the world would have received a prophet, if any certain people who didn’t receive a prophet wouldn’t be judge. It’s in Islam “we don’t punish a nation until we send them a prophet.” Arabs have not yet received a prophet who would be from amongst them so God had to send one. The pagan tradition were before monotheistic tradition it was later changed into pagan by the corruption of the people.
as an american i appreciate channels such as Al-Jazeera, PressTV, BBC News, PBS News, as well as others that tend to stray from the mainstream media and tries to get all sides of a story, and enlighten as many people as possible as to what's really going on in the world.
Thank you Aljazeera for this informative piece. We never studied history beyond our borders in my country Kenya at primary school level, so this is quite educational for me. Looking forward to learning more about your culture.
@Dinah Kanake Do you have any semblance of critical thinking in you? You enjoy this propaganda?? For example listen @39:30.. where he talks about Maghreb people (in Morocco and Algeria.) wilfully converting to Islam.. Not a single historian of North Africa puts it like that. Islam was spread by the sword everywhere in North Africa.
@@DinahKanake And I owe you an apology for saying "Do you have any semblance...". It was very rude and disrespectful, and beneath me. I make it a point never to speak to others that way. I don't know what happened. I am sorry.
If u really searching the truth the truth will come to u but at that moment you will be examined by greed you have to be brave and accept the truth without caring what kind of losses you have to pay for accepting truth
I'm not religious (Agnostic) but I find Islamic history interesting. During the middle ages, they built great empires and spread a wealth of knowledge. However, the religion has been plagued with constant warfare, that either involved quest for power within Islam, and/or differences of religious ideology. The Ottoman-Empire was the last great venue of Islam, until it fell after WW1.
I've watched this documentary atleast thrice, well made. Got chills when he said 'Eskimos taking on the USA and Russia'. Disheartening to see the fall. The rise shall come again, of all the righteous people.
I'm not sure that is the right stance. There were three international conferences in the 1920's and 30's in order to find the new caliph, and the division was just too great. Perhaps this is a window in time not to look at the world religiously, but to view all people as members of common worldwide humanity. Islamic history is extremely captivating, but maybe we should seize this opportunity to become truly global citizens, to forgo out religious differences and to view each other as simply human.
Alot of people don't know about the Arabian empire and how far spread it was.Doesn't seem to be taught in schools the way the romans/British empires are, but it was just as successful and ruthless
Its taught in Islamic countries but not in western countries. It's not in western political interest to show eastern nations as capable. Also similar is the depiction of Jesus as a white man which is a European tradition stemming from the middle ages.
+Jamming Namming ..how profound..another internet scholar/troll...I got your number...it's all good ...I find you hilarious...and of course you already knew that Aljezerra literally means peninsula...and it's owed and funded by Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani...keep up the good work...
asif hussain keep worshipping that rock pagans you don’t need to worship to a rock you pray to god wherever you want whenever the time suits you to just give god 15 minutes of you’re time a day and a hour a week
This should have been a 100+ PART series. History teaching in schools hardly go beyond the borders of their own countries. You need to study it by yourself. Thanks to TV, Radio and the Internet and video-formats we can now search what ever we wishes and explore the world from the comfort of our homes.
I hope you atleast learn something about islam while you are at it. Seen from your comments on other videos you aren’t really knowledgeable on the subject. Asking this questions and making claims that stupid atheist that were debunked hundreds of years ago already asked. So do me a favor and read the quran and hadith really and stop cherry picking verses that you like. Read it with a neutral opinion if you like our history that much it woulf make the world a better place if a person with a cursed heart like you would be more understanding of other cultures. Salaam Aleykoum!
Thank u for these videos. I really enjoyed the documentary-all parts. My best friend is from Amman, Jordan. I'm American, and I love learning new things about culture and religion-especially the history. Thank you again.
Quran is indeed a magical book, a product of perfection.. I witness it is the true and final message of God. Only those who are committed in searching for the truth, to read, to seek knowledge of the past and present, seek inside himself and outside, and look for the right answers of the right question.. only those will find the true path.
They may have the technology, money, military power and media influence. But we have Allah on our side. We will be victorious when it’s all said and done. The true righteous believers who don’t kill innocents and fight for Allah’s cause against evil will be the ones rewarded in the hereafter.
I would like to congratulate you on yet again a marvellous piece of jurnalism, you taught others how to be accurate, not biased, no incitement, not to target individuals or countries because they have been told to do so, basically you are pioneering work in jurnalism. OK, you name the spade spade and that courageous. you deserve all the credits for all your work, which I have been following since you started. well done again and more please.
Very interesting. There will always be conflicting interpreations of History, but I found this series an illuminating starting point - looking forward to the next one!
This isn't just about religion. This is so much more than religion - it's politics and fight for power and the original religious ideas seem to come second. I think more people should watch this before arguing about how Islam is terrorism. Very interesting documentary, especially when ignoring the religious arguments and focusing purely on the historical side.
Many of you have a huge problem with this channel, if there videos bother you so much simply don't watch them lol. Great video AJ, looking forward to more like this!
MashaAllah, a very good (neutral) retelling of a truly heartbreaking history. Looking forward to watching part two. I would love to see a more in depth analysis of each of the dynasties (umayyad, abbased, etc)
The last caliph; Abdülmecit Efendi was a brilliant scholar, an artist and an intellectual. He was the protector of arts and sciences. He established the Istanbul Archeological Museum. He was also a butterfly collector. He had 5000 live samples in a specially built green house at Dolmabahçe Palace.
Amazing video. Really highlighted most of the important and vital events in the history of Islam. However I think it had a few mistakes. But they were overwhelmed by very detailed explanations and information. I would really recommend this to anyone trying to learn something about Islam.
The true caliphate that was on the path of prophethood is the alrashidon caliphate, while the rest were only strong states and empires, in which science and art appeared 🙂etc.., but did not rise to the level and purity of the alrashidon caliphate. شكرا الجزيرة 👋
63 is by Lunar Calender and 61 Gregorain. Like the Quran says when describing ahli lkahf. They lived there 309 yrs (Lunar and some other says 300 yrs (Gregorian). Make yr calculation u will verify.
@@borhanuddin4289 i believe many GoT's storylines were copied from Islamic era and their texts. Even the "The Wall" and "The Dead" implying Yajuj and Majuj.
Abd-ar-Rahman III can't understand why really. Islam honors jihadists, pedophilia, murder of innocents. Sharia Law sounds horrible. Beheading & stoning people. God is love. God isn't to be used to justify bad behavior in the name of religion. Man made religion not of God.
Angela Baiers you speak without knowledge. Don't really in mainstream media to tell you about Islam. Read a book and educate yourself you may find the truth u dimwit
Some variants of Islam have become more tolerant over the decades, centuries, generations, years, months, weeks, hours, minutes, seconds, and miliseconds
Thank you so much, this was so interesting and so informative! I am very grateful to have learned this small bit, but rich of information from you all. Truly I am grateful!
Very surprised that after passing of Prophet Muhammad (sawa) a few supporters assembled far away and decided Prophet's successor. The truth is that Holy Prophet (sawa) already decided Imam Ali (as) as his successor at incident of Ghadeer.
MR M S ALI What truth? That the Islamic empire like all empire was build with fire and blood. About the countless massacres that the Islamic caliphates, be them Rashudin, Ummayad,Abbasid or Ottoman perpetrated. Or the countless cities that were wiped out of the face of the earth that ruins litter Europe and the Middle East. Or the millions that were enslaved, torn from their families and used as human chattel. Its you who have the blinders on. I back my claims with facts. Yours are merely emotional stimuli and regret of the loss of the power you held over the head of others. Now the Islamic world is in a pitiful state. It creates nothing, innovates nothing, it produces nothing but raw resources and damaged human beings. Do me a favor and open your eyes to the truth that your parents, friends and society have blinded you.
at 3:20 I paused the program to take in the unique beauty expressed in that courtyard, I've never seen anything like it . . . in this long life I've learned to accept the world for the way it is and I don't wish, dream, hope or pray for peace, it's not that simple unfortunately, but if there is a path to peace then it leads to this magnificent structure and space.
+Donald Anderson That is not correct. Aleihi does means "upon". wa-sallam is a conjunction with imperative verb - it means "with peacefulness". It is "salah" that is being "upon" the "nabi" - - "...Sollu alaihi (sollu upon him) wasalimu (with peacefulness) taslima (of peace)" 33:56 There is no "peace be upon him" phrase. English writings on the religion of used SAW abbreviation to refer to "god's peace be upon him". But SAW is really abbreviating "sollu allah alahi wasalam" - which means Allah sollaa upon him with peace. Verse 33:56 is where all this was derived from. "Very Allah and the Malaikat Yusollu upon the Nabi, O ye with conviction (amanu) Yusolu upon him with peacefulness of peace" Religious teachers will tlll you that sollu here means "blessings". So they are saying that as Allah and the Malaikat sends blessings to the Nabi, the amanu shall send blessings to him as well. Thats why bobo shante wrote what he wrote. He saw a documentary of about muhammad and the caliph, and he is sending his blessings to muhammad. But solllu does not mean blessings.
allahuma salle alla mohammad wa alle mohammad :) im a christian and I know this this by heart...even ashhado anna ila wa ilallah ashhado anna mohammadan rasullollah
A very good documentary, very summarized and in some parts is unjustified as it lefts crucial events that can affect understanding facts and the motives behind some actions.. but overall a very good introduction to whom who are not very knowledgeable about the Islamic history. Thanks!
Fascinating. This is well done. Surprised it took them until the very end of the episode to get to the Shia-Sunni split. As soon as I heard about Ali, Hussein and the Battle of Karbala, I was like, Shia-Sunni split. But then they never talked about it until the end. I'm also surprised that the Umayyads only lasted 90 years. And they had so many civil wars in 100 years! It's a wonder the whole thing didn't fall apart much more quickly. So the opposite of Byzantium, which lasted 1,000 years, or the Chinese empires.
Luboman411 dear in Islam there is no monoarchy its a caliph, the leader of the believers,if anyone forms a dynasty it has no value in the sense of Islam,if the ruler is just and can defend the believers againist all threats,he has all the right to be but if he does not fulfill his duty then muslims have no obligation to follow him, thats why the Ummayyads were defeated because they had became tyrants and the greats like caliph Umer bin Abdul Aziz were replaced by incompetent men, thus its then a duty upon muslims to replace them with some better like the intial Abbasids. note:most of the ummayyads and Abbasids used Islam only to maintian there Kingdoms in reality they had nothing to do with the concept of one ummah(nation in islam) although some like Haroon ul Rashid were competent caliphs.
ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA SALLAITA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID. ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID. “O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious”.
We in America no so little about Islam. This is a most informative series. History is important in that the goal is to not repeat the mistakes of the past. One of our founding values is freedom from religion. For it was the persecution of the Roman Catholic Church that drove so many to our shores. What concerns me is that so many people of the world believe that The Roman Catholic Church represents all Christians. We Protestants have the same objections to the Catholic Church as you.
Casanova Frankenstein Oh, please, commies and you religious freaks are the same breed: both of you want to build a better world, but both of you have mostly managed to spread death and destruction. The commies had simply replaced the Bible and the Quran with Marx's writings, and made their Party the new God.
***** Ok, first of all, I owe you an apology. I got so used to running into haters of all stripes throughout the Internet that I thought you were one of them. I now realize that over time, I've become one of those haters myself. Man, I should really get off the Internet for a while and get all the meanness off my heart. Again, I apologize for the very mean comments I made earlier. Have a great holiday and happy new year. PS: Je crois que vous parlez français. Êtes-vous originaire du Québec? Si oui, heureux de rencontrer un compatriote.
Very informative, although not a 100% accurate But then, I guess none of us was alive back then to verify the truth or point out the exact errors in this documentary
More than anything, i can now see that the history of Islam has been more of war, conquest, subjugation and domination. Could ISIL Caliph be true when he said historically Islam has been the religion of war? One Love!
@@AntonioMarcos-qe8yc When they are challenged or their missionaries and emesseries got killed yes they waged war. Many if not some of Islamic rulers are cruel but Most of them were legends. Always people look at war but see their philosophy, science and other economic systems.
Books, books, books; Histories, histories, histories; Beliefs, beliefs, beliefs.... What is so impossible to not have simple kindness and respect instead of arguing and fighting about prejudices? Live Simply - Be Respectful; that is all that is necessary. No beliefs required. No books required. No history required. Peace lives within such an attitude.
bbc made a very generous 3 part doc on Islam [back while we still had hope they would join our societies] ....no hope any longer ...things will get uglier
A J advocates Shia Muslims, so it makes documentary to support Shias. Islam is a religion which teaches not to kill children, women, old men, captives and people who surrender even during war. What ISIS is doing is not war, it's terrorism. Those who kills innocent humans are not muslims they are murders.
@Abdul Mohammad has an impressive record of invading peaceful territories. He provokingly created the non-innocents that you exclude from your do-not-kill list all to proliferate his religion to the unwilling. What Mohammed did is the ISIS playbook.
