The Calling of These Times, Part 1 - Tara Brach 

Ms Brach, I so appreciate this ... I am a person of color in Arizona and it is a place of othering. Sometimes I am exhausted and suffer from despair. Thank you for reminding of me of my own goodness and take moments to remind myself of that. There are a little moments where I remind myself to pause and also take time to be kind to people... Sometimes the little things can mean a lot to those going through suffering.

This is such an important message. At this time our community is brought together in sorrow. We are a small town but we come together in difficult times. 🙏❤💗

WOW Tara! I have listened to many of your podcasts, and I love them all, but this one was super duper! All your stories are so touching in this, I cried many times throughout....I feel myself getting less and less jaded about the state of the world, because for me, optimism is really the only way to go, without letting yourself getting immersed too much in all the problems of the world. Of course, at times I feel depressed about my biggest worries which are the environment crisis and the way animals are treated by humans. Thanks for your consistent and compassionate way of bringing us together and encouraging peace and understanding.....💟It helps.

You're such a wonderful source of wisdom, love and hope for better times ahead, Tara. The last 2.5. years have been rather destabilizing and 'the othering' has reached levels of shocking proportions. Our whole earth is being destroyed. How can we not feel the pain and helplessness when wealth and power doesn’t care. I have my personal pain on top of this. I’m vegan and care for others but knowing the great destruction going on and people don’t care saddens me. The worst of times we have crossed a line. I try to find the joy in helping individuals to live a joyful life while we are here.

While I sympathize with peoples concern over politics part of me, the 13 year old who left home and county due to politics feels tired of the privilege that fosters the naive belief that democracy is a given right and that politics actually works. I gave up thst delusion many years ago and it's what brought me to spirituality as the only hope for our planet. Bsudrillard also called it many years ago. We live in a world of simulation and technology and politics are all part of that parodic verisimilitude we take to be reality. For many in the rest of the world democracy remains an ideal that's not real but covers over a charade masking the actual structures of Power. This sad cynicism is the only place the mind can reach but the heart never stops hoping and believing in the infinite potential of consciousness to do what is necessary. Many of us individual manifestations of life might not survive the changes but in our time here can we at least have the courage to keep returning to love and I than you Tara from the bottom.if my heart for helping me find the way to do thst no matter how overwhelming tge mind abd emotions. You are a true angel in this world and I wish you abundant blessings in return for all thos you bestow on the world. Thankyou.

i'll add a question. how do we deal with the world after evil destructive forces had cut us off from the net and your wonderful spiritual guidance? what do i do when i realize that sometimes evil conquers whatever it can....and i am the vanquished? i'd like to know what to do now.
