When we eventually get Witcher 4 hopefully a reworking of this concept sees the light of day because The Witcher meets Prince Of Persia sounds absolutely amazing.
I mostly wanted a Kovir expansion, it's already marked on the map, it's talked about by multiple characters and it could be a good spot to get lots of money as Lambert implied you get a lot for a simple drowner
I was reading the books, and honestly, Kovir seems like a great place to start the new witcher saga (aka witcher 4). It's descibed as very wealthy, full of mercenaries and adventurers, and filled with some kind of dungeons or caves if I remember correctly. The capital, Lan Exeter also seems like a cool place to explore due to its unique road infrastructure which consists mainly of canals and waterways. I think this may be the reason for it not getting an expansion. It will be the main world of the new game (or at least, I hope so, because it sounds amazing)
@@felekkartofelek4235 Pont Vanis literally is Venice. The small northern Kingdoms are a cool region, probably very inspired by the era of the Italian, Swiss and German Mercenary wars between 1511 and 1648
someone should make a petition about this dlc so that everyone will know that the game is not dead yet and its still going and to be honest i want to play that dlc soooo badly i would pay 100 dollars for it just to explore a new world
hes already back. if you talk with the dwarves right before the ending of the main game, they say they were recovering objects for a guy named "mastery mirrory". so, yes. hes already back at that point.
@@doublehit9165 It's not really established when HoS takes place though. He will most likely return to the world, but definitely not within a decade or more at least.
@@doublehit9165 Oh for sure, there is no doubt that WILL happen lol, I just think the implication is Geralt beat him fair and square and he will not return for a while, certainly not in a way, in his nigh-omnipotence, which interferes with Geralt or Olgierd
It's true. There has never been a magical hidden add-on to a game that wasn't released. It was released as a thesis by a Russian student. As a term paper. This video is misleading people and not telling the truth.
i remember seeing this back when it was first posted and i couldn't believe how 1 person created something so high quality. if this gets made it would be incredible.
Ofir is more like The Arab Peninsula & I expect maybe some Turkey aspects blending too. Zerrikania is what you're looking for that African or maybe possible Egyptian influence, especially since that's where the school of Manticore originated. What's interesting this plot seems to be reused for the Witcher comics (forgot the title).
The monsters seem really outta place but the rest looks just like you could imagine after playing HoS and learning about Ofir.I would have liked to see a DLC in Kovir and even more in Zerrikania...a shame really but Toussaint was a blessing and a perfect choice, after being there I just never want to go back to Velen or Skellige again.
As someone who is playing witcher 3 right now for the second time after playing witcher 1 and 2, and looking forward to the DLCs, this would be amazing, really cool video. Thanks youtube algorythm +1sub
I am so sad that this never got made, listening to the characters talk about the lands of Ofir like a kingdom from an Arabian fantasy made my mind run wild with possibilities. Perhaps Geralt will fight monsters from Middle Eastern folklore and encounter figures from Persian mythology, perhaps the Oferi have Witchers of their own. There is easily enough potential there for a whole new game, let alone a DLC expansion pack!
The author of the video: Don’t mislead your subscribers, as this is just a diploma project by Alexandra Tokaryuk, a graduate of Scream School, a school of computer technologies. It’s her own development of a DLC for The Witcher 3. Indeed, in 2017, Alexandra Tokaryuk presented a diploma project as part of her studies at Scream School. This project was created as a demonstration of her game content development skills, specifically a DLC for The Witcher 3. However, it’s important to understand that this is an academic work and a fan-made project, not an official expansion from CD Projekt RED. It’s just a diploma work by someone who studied at a design school! It was created back in 2017. Why lie so blatantly?
I always imagined ofieri more like as Sarmatians than Egyptians. They are an alliance of peoples (Scythians) living on a large area of steppe and have cities with big towers.
I'd like to see places that were only mentioned or described even in the books in the form of mods, maybe dlc, but at best in the in development witcher game.
To me if someone manages to restore the scrapped ending + boat races is enough already but if there are talented people further expanding the game in the right way I'm in for more Witcher 3 😃
It says Ottoman Culture on reference sheet and some of the character names are "Nurshah and Selim" which are Turkic names. It is obviously Turkic, and a little bit of Arabic themed (most of the monsters are referenced from Arabic myths) DLC not Egyptian or Indian.
Damn I knew the Manticore school was created by CD didn't even need to look it up but the Bear one really?...and the Viper one?...what about Letho?...he ain't on the books or is he from a different school?...damn got me curious now.
You might have an idea of what it could have been if you read the "Of Flesh And Flame" comic book. Seems to me that the writers took that very good idea and decided to somewhat adapt it in another format 🙂
