Alpha 1 shooter here, I'm super stoked to see what Canon does with this camera!!! It's always a win for the industry and end user when companies innovate and advance the platform!
@@Stego86 Already done it. Majority of my wedding and event gigs, I shoot at a minimum iso of 500 and can reach as high as iso 2000 with zoom lenses. If i use prime lenses, I can bring them down to 300 to 1600. So yes, tell me again about high iso performances. :)
@@harryvuemedia5106 Fun Fact: A9iii has compromised base iso, anemic DR at high ISO and practically worthless high ISO performance. Sony was 1st cam company to produce a HALF baked GS sensor…cheers 😂
Love my R5 and the results I get from it with the RF lenses and excited to see the „Flagship“ coming. We expect nothing less than the best of the best after waiting so long. Go Canon rule them all.❤
INSTANTLY CLICKED! Pete, it's gonna be super nostalgic almost to see what you do with the R1 after vlogging for so long with the 1dx in the beginning! THE KING RETURNS
let me understand, the announcement scheduled for today was to announce that a camera is in development... without release dates and with a lot of self-praise in the press release🤦🏼♂️
Really confused what the point of this video was beyond cashing a check. Thought we’d get some sick hands on behind the scenes. Instead he read a press release…
I’m still shooting with the R6 (not even mkII), but I’m so hyped for Canon bringing a new flagship to the market. And I would love for them to release some kind of camera to compete with the X100VI, I really don’t understand why they haven’t already. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the R1!
I’m super excited to see what Canon is bringing to the table! Tangentially, the Western Hydrodynamic Research long sleeve readily caught my attention, is there anywhere you can see the research projects they’re helping fund?
People say that but I still see professionals in sports photography use canon, not sony. Turns out it takes more than just having cheap lenses to convert people.
What camera is behind. The R6ii, the R5, the R8,R3 are cutting edge still. The Only reason the R5 really needs a update is because it is the only camera left with the old flash mount
I don't think I have ever postet a comment on one of your videos, so I'm a bit sorry it has to be negative. When you use words like "the greatest camera of all time", "Quintessential golden child camera" you are really setting everybody up for a disappointment. What Canon need to deliver, is a reliable, futureproof workhorse, that Canon professional photographers can use five, six, seven years from now. It doesn't have to be much better than what is on the market today (from other manufactories), it just needs to be. It needs to be there, so Canon can say "we too have a rugged and dependable professional camera in our lineup, if you ever decide you need one". Glad you are excited. Hope you don't get disappointed.
My first real camera was a Sony cybershot and it was really so amazing. Perfect for the early 2000s and had a flash built in and the lens cover built in with power zoom. Really amazing how far we've come and at the same time how we are still in the same area lol
Hey Peter =) I was Today years Old as i realized that Canon has a Eye Focus Tracking System build in the Finder O_O I was Wishing for that 4 Years ..... and now i know that it is to expensive for me =P Still shooting with my Sony A7 MK IV But the Tracking System is nice to have. Can u tell me what Models do have this system build in?
Hopefully a camera with pro level dynamic range. Arguably the most important spec to get digital looking more like an analog format. Otherwise it will just look like another, well, digital camera.
I’ve been screaming about a Canon rangefinder for a year! I’d love to see a Canon P mirrorless. Hopefully, though, this will lower the price a bit for the R3. FYI, this is why I’m a Canon shareholder., we’re privy to a few things most are not. Keep it up! 🤙🏻
So we still don’t have actual specs. But it is interesting that they went the co-processing route instead of a new digi-11 or whatever. I assume this co-processor is the AI bit they want to sell on a subscription basis?
I am pretty sure most of us wouldn't even notice or care about whether you shot with RP or R1 especially on IG. That being said, this is going to be a great camera no doubt.
