Got my camera early from a local camera shop… love the camera! Been tinkering with it for the last 2 days. My first R mount camera. I’ve had the m50 so I’m used to crop sensor. It does take some getting used to, grip wise, but man it’s a thing of beauty. Can’t wait to take this out for some wildlife pictures.
I'm in the same boat! I have the EOS R and I love it, but feels a little lacking on teach and focusing on fast birds or animals, so the R7 will be a great addition for shooting wildlife and action. Mines in the mail now!
The R7 does give you that extra reach and the tracking is much better than the EOS R. I still use the R for landscapes and portraits though, because the full frame sensor come in handy in those situations. I just put up another video with some photo samples from the R7.
My R6 has the crop mode. I understand the R7 is already a crop sensor but does it also have that crop in mode? It doesn't seem like it would but it would still have more megapixels than cropping in with the R6. I'm also looking forward to trying that precapture feature. I can't wait till my R7 arrives!
