The concluding video to our epic hike, The Cape Wrath Trail
Join us hiking from Sandwood Bay to the Cape
There are a few travel arrangements to be aware of in terms of buses, getting to & from the lighthouse, etc.
I hope that the highland council is going to do something about the potholes which are as I type preventing tourists from visiting the lighthouse. Which is a disaster for the current owners who have worked so hard to build up a great business.
Best of luck to the team with their battle to put a proverbial bomb under the arse of the council
Hope you enjoy this final part
Sue

What an incredible journey on the Cape Wrath Trail! The final stage from Sandwood Bay to the Cape looks both challenging and rewarding. Thanks for sharing all the essential travel arrangements and highlighting the issue with the potholes. I really hope the Highland Council takes action soon to support the lighthouse and its hardworking owners. Best of luck to the team, and thanks for taking us along on this epic adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed every part! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad

Thanks ever so much Simon 🤗 And thanks especially for the comments on behalf of John at the lighthouse. He’s built a very niche business and needs all the support he can get from visitors. Really pleased that the videos are being enjoyed so much, it reflects the enjoyment I had editing them. Best wishes, and continuing happy travels abroad! Sue 😊

Well done to all three of you, an epic adventure. I think the wide expanses of beautiful coastal scenery in the final section made a fitting counterpoint to the earlier rough & rugged parts. I've been thinking about Sandwood Bay off & on since I read a Cameron McNeish walking book with it in over 25 years ago.

@@duncanbeard9460 Hi, and thanks Paul 😊 Yes, it’s gorgeous and very popular. Balnakiel bay & Durness are both amazing too. The coast up there is possibly the best we have anywhere. It’s become really popular with the NC500

I certainly get the lingering Sue - lovely beach. And I'd like to linger with this series too - what an amazing adventure. I reckon with the road unbusworthy it made the last few miles. It just felt so right you being driven out. You told a great story Sue and there was no exception in this last video. Well done, super enjoyed it. Mark

I completed the Munro's in 2020 and currently trying to finish of the remaining 17 Munro Tops I have left. Well on my way through the Corbetts and really enjoying them, a feeling of more remoteness and not too many people about compared to the Munro's although I'll probably end up do a second round of those as I'm at 70 odd already 🤣and as long as the knees last 😂 All the best to you too...
