Pretty cool Captain. One of the reasons I have thought about taking the course is to learn the old school navigation. Capt you must have learned a lot of that if not more getting your pilot license. Anyways..as you all can tell this guy goes all in and look him up!

How did you catch capt. Casey to sit still that long. He is usually aff shore. Capt. School is the best. Angela is the smartest of all when it comes to coast guard paper work. I tell everyone to let them do the paper work for renewals . I've used capt Casey last 5 renewals. You are in good hands Paul.

i took the boaters safety course online. never had a boat before so no experience, zero time. struggling to get insurance for the boat i purchased. getting to where i might end up selling it.

50 ton master with towing endorsement. Qualifying for 100 ton requires actual 100 ton sea time...not so with the 50 ton. Rules were changes a couple of years ago allowing me to get my 50 ton with 90 days of sea time on my 24 foot pontoon.

very similar to aviation...you need to be checked off by an instructor when moving to a different airframe

Are there certain schools that can give captains license. Sure would like to do some coarse that is official. Not sure if you can get license living inland.
