I always enjoy your vlog Doug. Sorry you’re not feeling well. I used to get sinus infections often and what really helped is using a Netti pot. You can get them at any pharmacy. They come with a powdered salt that is used with warm water and it really helps.
Doyle Brunson one time Saids “ when the luck shuts door on you is when the skill comes in” hardest thing to do is no tilt and know when to leave the table. Easy to say but very rare for someone who is able to do it. Skill which finds the right spot to attack is much more simple then that. Biggest enemy is ourselves
I guess Zeus sensed that you were not feeling well to critique your plays. Good job Doug in recovering almost all of your loss. Hope you get better quick and continue with your run.
Hi Doug, great vlog as always. The Q10 hand was tough. Did you run it through a solver to determine the correct GTO pre flop play? Also, question about your jam on the KJ6 10 board: was that a merge bet?
Didn’t do any solver work yet, the AK jam was because I felt he was trying to make his own price to see the river. Hands like KQ, QJ, QQ, perhaps AK. I wanted to punish his bet and put some fear into his heart.
4:58 checking turn for pot control ??? (x into 2 opponents on a very connected dynamic board) _"pot control" a reason, uhm? So, he is stating that he did not want to build pot size when his hand hits.
I could be wrong but I think you have had some good bluffs and you are now over calling people in spots like that QT hand. Because now you are expecting people are bluffing or trying to make a move too often.
