I'd like to kindly remind everyone that this caretaker song comes from the same record as cloudy since you went away, can't get to heaven that way, & unreleased memory (1998) meaning this song is exclusively a "a stairway to the stars" outtake.
Not quite - see video and description. This is from the V/Vm Test compilation "Zatsu Ongaku" released in 2004. None of the tracks you mention are on there.
@@madcowpateHe is referring to a sample source box set that Kirby aka The Caretaker owns “The Golden Age Of British Dance Bands” which he claims the sample came from he is still incorrect as Jack Hylton’s Music Maestro Please is not on that box set in reality it most likely (Not 100%) came from the LP The Band That Jack Built (Jack Hylton 1935-1939) Also you may already know this but Unreleased Memory (1998) refers to Every Day Away From You by The Four Bright Sparks on the Boxset cloudy since you went away Refers to Cloudy By Andy Kirk And His Twelve Clouds Of Joy on the Boxset you can’t get to heaven that way refers to You Can't Get To Heaven That Way By Noble Sissle And His Sizzling Syncopators on the Boxset
@@Mr.A_69420 Didn't realise you were referring to the sample source material - I interviewed Kirby in 2006, he said he used to go to a shop in Edgeley that was full of old 78 LP's - this formed the basis of the earliest Caretaker material. The very earliest track Kirby released in the Caretaker style, though, was probably "I'll Be Seeing You" as The Stranger on the self-titled album on Phthalo in 1997 or 1998 (sampled from Tommy Dorsey's version) which is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PSBRyefX8GE.html
