I was vegan. And I was very intentional on getting plant based proteins and taking B12. I had improvements. But I realize now it’s because I wasn’t eating dairy. One day I stood for a very long period at a concert. All of the sudden my legs gave out. I literally could not walk because my muscles were so fatigued. It was so embarrassing. It scared me. I ate a steak the next day and have never had an issue like that since!

LOL that's a great story! A new one. There are many vegans who eat a terrible diet!

it's simple Livestock Animals are now 15 times the biomass of wild animals and more than double the biomass of humans. Over 30 Billion Terrestrial Vertebrate Livestock? This is a major problem causing species extinction, inequity, and poor health of the planet! 85% of all wild animal biomass is gone forever.... If humans do not get a clue and begin to understand this wholeheartedly we are literally heading towards an ecological nightmare which we are witnessing daily now. Next phase will be hotter, more flooding, and bigger diseases with no more eradication methods. We have expended most of our antibiotics for man into animal agriculture to contain disease!! OOPSIE that could potentially be a huge mistake. In both humans and animal models, consumption of a high-saturated-fat diet has been linked to vascular dysfunction and cognitive impairments. Laboratory animals provide excellent models for more invasive high-fat-diet-related research. In human epidemiological studies, there is an association between the consumption of an HFD and cognitive impairment, as well as risk of developing neurodegenerative disease. In the population-based prospective Rotterdam Study, which followed non-demented participants aged 55 and older for an average of 2.1 years, increased consumption of total fat, SFAs and cholesterol were associated with a greater incidence of dementia Source: June 2021 National Library of Medicine. The violence is not because of bad people it is the silence of the good people. Do you support animal abuse? Oppression? exploitation? murder? rape? disease risk? Are you one them greedy people who is never satisficed? Disclose the truth about how poor your diet was when you were so called vegan?

An animal-centric diets: High Saturated Fat and Cholesterol Intake: Animal products, such as red meat, poultry, and full-fat dairy, tend to be high in saturated fats and dietary cholesterol. Consuming excessive amounts of saturated fat and cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular issues. Increased Risk of Chronic Diseases: An animal-centric diet may be linked to an increased risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer (e.g., colorectal cancer), and obesity due to its potential high calorie and unhealthy fat content. Lack of Dietary Fiber: Plant-based foods are generally rich in dietary fiber, which plays a crucial role in digestion, weight management, and overall gut health. An animal-centric diet might lack the necessary fiber intake, potentially leading to digestive problems and a higher risk of constipation. Nutrient Imbalances: Relying heavily on animal products could lead to imbalances in essential nutrients. For instance, deficiencies in dietary fiber, antioxidants, certain vitamins (e.g., vitamin C), and minerals (e.g., magnesium, potassium) may occur. Environmental Impact: An animal-centric diet tends to have a larger environmental footprint compared to plant-based diets. Animal agriculture is associated with deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and resource-intensive practices. Shifting towards plant-based options can have a more positive environmental impact. Ethical and Moral Concerns: For individuals concerned about animal welfare, an animal-centric diet raises ethical and moral questions about the treatment of animals raised for food. This can lead to internal conflict and feelings of cognitive dissonance. Cost: Animal products, particularly high-quality and ethically sourced options, can be expensive. Relying heavily on these products might lead to higher grocery bills and potentially limit food choices. Food Safety Concerns: Handling and consuming animal products also pose certain food safety risks due to the potential for contamination with harmful pathogens. Proper cooking and handling practices are essential to minimize these risks. Cultural and Dietary Diversity: An animal-centric diet might limit the variety of foods consumed, potentially leading to a less diverse intake of nutrients and flavors. Embracing a wider range of plant-based foods can enhance dietary diversity. Long-Term Sustainability: As people age, health concerns related to an animal-centric diet might become more pronounced. Adjusting the diet to meet changing health needs might be challenging if there's a strong reliance on animal products.

To find out all you have to do is try it for yourself. Give it 30 days at least so your body has time to adjust. You can listen to all the interviews you want but when you feel the change for yourself you will know in a way that can't be argued with. And for the animal welfare aspect, which I also care about, source your meat from a regenerative farmer who treats his animals and land in a way you can feel good about.

I went almost vegan at the age of 15 in 2009. Had some cottage cheese for 2 more years. Then went strict vegan for 10 years.. whole foods, no junk. Only the last years I started a sh1t ton of supplements and trying vegan keto because I got so so sick. Oddly enough I improved some of my ailments on vegan keto but I realized I cannot survive on soy, avocado and coconut and 35 supplements until my last days. I wondered if going keto ish felt so much better than all my fruit and lentil mess.. why not trying to implement some animal foods which would make keto so much easier and versatile? I could go back anytime I want.. the rest is history. I went animal based in 2021 shortly after trying eggs and meat. My brain just knew... It took some time and healing. Now I'm strict carnivore, nose to tail even with quite some raw foods. I reversed most of my diseases including my poor mental health. I gained my life back. I have energy now, nice hair, pain free periods.still care about animals and invest all my Money into the best meat I can find. Give it a shot

I quit all suagrs, grains, carbs, veg oils, bread & gluten. I have lost 22 pounds already. I feel so much better in many ways. My reflux has reduced by about 90%. I have been suffering from gastric reflux for around 5 years. My IBS has vanished. I am sleeping wonderfully. My gums have stopped bleeding. My digestion is night & day from pre-Carnivore, for the better. I have lost a lot of inches from my waist. I have steady energy all day. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism & this is how I found Dr Chaffee. I am hopeful I can reduce the progress of my condition, after reading other testimonials. This conversation reminded me, that when I studied nutrition under an old school Soviet teacher, she was a staunched believer in at least one egg a day rule especially for children, adolescents, elderly and convalescents. So when we would make mock up menus for different types of nutritional needs, we would better have that egg in there or else lol But seriously now looking back at that knowledge, I can’t believe how advanced we were and how we thrown out that knowledge out of the window in exchange for plant based “superfoods”, low fat, low calorie paradigm.

Dr. Chaffee is a fabulous spokesman for this woe! He is getting put through the paces and his knowledge is at the ready. I follow this woe since last July, but noticed I am adding in a bit of fruit and vegetables here and there…. mainly because it’s summertime and my hubby eats lots of salads. I feel so much better when I don’t eat those things. It seem counterintuitive, since we’ve been taught to eat the fresh vegetables and fruits, and family and friends think balanced diet is best and necessary for health. Hopefully more and more people will hear the message and change their outdated way of thinking about the real and true proper human diet.

Mainly it’s a health issue or weight issue that hasn’t responded to all the other so-called healthy ways of eating. For myself, I listened to many doctors and scientists and listened to many books before starting. ANOTHER REALLY GREAT PODCAST!! HI GUYS ..Maggie here... Although the Carnvore Diet ..is the SIMPLEST, EASIEST , CHEAPEST and BEST diet possible.. Because people have been " fed" so many LIES for so long.. it is such a help for people who are searching for the truth of a proper human diet providing optimum health, to keep it to plain common sense after presenting the facts . Take EVERYTHING out of your grocery cart that ISNT pure meat or whole eggs or butter.. and compare costs !! As a rancher , I dont have TIME to shop, prepare or clean up after complex cooking stuff.. and I certainly dont have the MONEY to waste on food that I dont like, want or need! I was a Carnivore decades before I had any idea that it was GOOD for me .. and my husband and I put in long hard physical days out in all kinds of weather ..doing all the things a rancher/cowboy has to do ..I'm Middle Aged at 82 and need to keep working so there will always be cows on the range and BEEF on the tables of parents and kids who need it. THANK YOU DR Chaffee and your beautiful lady Elle , for helping clarify the Carnivore Diet and thankyou to this wonderfuĺ couple for making this possible. THESE PODCASTS ARE GAME CHANGERS FOR THE GENERAL HEALTH OF OUR PEOPLES!! This Carnivore evolution will go down in history as a dramatic turn-around in public health . Dr Chaffee, in regard to the question as to why we would as a species be drawn to sweet taste, yes your point that it acts as an indicator of safe to eat, it also makes sense to think of sweet things , namely fruits, being ripe in the time that precedes winter, to enable us in primitive times to over indulge so as to “fatten up” for the coming winter. Then the extra fat stores would be advantageous to use through the months when energy expenditure is higher to keep us insulated against the cold and hunting may be more difficult.

Its so great to not have to think about all the many "dietary needs" to plan meals for a week or so. It was a huge undertaking to study, plan, store and produce all these meals for a family! But with Carnivore its so simple and opens time in ones life to slow down and look around at what is actually going on around us.

Some people wether parents or friends won't or will never change, their so used to their diet when people ask them "how are you" they will just never say I'm good thanks. They'll just say Oh you know me I feel terrible and run down, They'll run throught their list of ailments to you. They will never change no matter what you or their Doctor tells them. They wont listen even when all you want us to help. Then finally the Doctor tells them what to do even though you were telling them the entire time they'll listen to the Doctor. But still won't listen because you told them before the Doctor. Sometimes people don't need or wan't help. Sometimes their ailments define them and they're content with that. You can't help everyone.

I definitely respect everyone's different paths and views in this diverse world. I have to say, I have a big concern about the planetary impacts and impacts on animals if everybody followed this diet. Well it is possible to support sustainable, small scale, local animal agriculture, and that has a better impact on the environment, still I think if we only ate meat that would cause a lot of issues for the planet and for animals. It would be nice to hear more discussion of how it's important to steward and take care of the planet and of animals. If we only think about the human side of things, I think that is not such a wise path to take. Let's practice having compassion for all beings great and small. This doesn't necessarily mean that everyone has to be vegan, but how can we create a world where humans, the planet, and animals can all thrive together?

I don't drink milk, But have organic heavy cream in my coffee and it doesn't effect my glucose. I eat mostly beef fish turkey and pasture raised eggs, but I do have fermented sauerkraut with my meals to help my digestion at age 69 it helps so much, fermented sauerkraut is extremely high in vitamin C and Collagen, it's made my hair come back in thicker and most notably changed my nails from very thin to much stronger, and growing fast. I have wild frozen blueberries only 1/4 cup in an almond milk and heavy cream smoothly once a week because I love it. I water fast away every ailment and do intermittent fasting as well...I love to be outdoors while long distance swimming or steep hill climbing even though at my age I do need a nap at 3:00 pm every day. I was once a heart patient who was told I needed a pacemaker defibrillator put in me because my heart was quite enlarged I had erratic heart rhythms and my injection fraction ratio was very low 💔 but God spoke life into me, He said "I who created your heart will heal it, TRUST ME ! I told the cardiologist what God told me and he told me he didn't believe in God and if I refused the treatment I would be dead in his opinion in 6 months I told him to make my appointment to check me out fully in 6 months, when I did come in allive 6 months later after testing's he said in disbelief my heart was back to normal size, my heart rhythms were perfectly normal but my injection fraction ratio was still to low... I had to stay on those med's for about 8 more months till he told me it was perfect. I no longer needed the med's...IF GOD TELLS YOU HE WILL HEAL YOU, YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK, HE IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE...IT'S OUR FAITH IN JESUS THAT HEALS US...until our assigned time to leave our earthly bodies, to be at home with Him in Eternal Heaven.

Off-topic here. The lady to the right is so classy and beautiful. 23:20 I'm not sure whether this is true, but I heard a Dr./scientist mention that you are more susceptible to injury when you eat carbs and sugars for energy. So sure carbs will give you a relatively short boost and an advantage, but your tradeoff would be that you're at more risk of getting injured and having to take a few weeks off to recover. Also recovery would be slower for a person living on carbs and sugars. 31:49 many women in their 50's reported getting their cycles back and some got pregnant after adopting the carnivore way of eating. 34:47 I'm only a little over 2 months into carnivore and I'm telling you the truth: I shaved my beard with a brand-new Gillette razor and it was ripping my skin off because my beard hair got thicker. I had to go by a straight razor and learn how to shave with it, I'd still have to apply more pressure than normal to get it going!!

If considering moving away from SAD, figure out how many carbs you ate y'day using Cronometer. This will give you a baseline as to what is normal for you. Do the same for protein. You may very well be shocked at the height of carb infestation and the lack of protein ingested (I was). Give yourself 6 months to flow to a new healthy normal. First, cut carbs in half...say from 300 daily grams to 150. Up your protein a bit, be liberal with healthy fats. 2 weeks later, cut out snacks and eat only 3 times a day. Two weeks later, drop breakfast and just eat twice. Make sure you get a lot of saturated fat. This will stop hunger. 2 weeks later...cut the carbs in half again. You will be fat adapted at this stage. You are now Intermittent fasting and in keto. You should have seen benefits weeks ago. Stay in keto, if you wish, or explore ketovore or full carnivore, or not. At this stage you have your health in your hands. You are self mastered. The Earth is a self-mastery school. Now, you can serve others in a larger capacity. Be well!

I seem to be learning while just eating meat. Husband passed before Hunting Season last Fall and ran out of Venison last month. Safeway had rib-eye roasts on sale for $7 pound, limit one. I asked if they would cut me a larger roast and was offered a 20# cyrovac; about a dozen steaks and a nice batch of fat for making tallow. Afterwords I learned from Dr Chaffee about the wet aging so next time will do that very easily. Now I realize I can ask Costco butcher for same. I will hopefully get my bearings back by next hunting season and obtain more ruminant game for burger ground up with additional beef tallow.

If you want to gain weight on carnivore eat more meat and do some strengthening training with weights, bands or body weight exercises. Yes, you can gain muscle weight by eating more meat. You don’t have to go 100% carnivore. Eat Whole Foods, eliminate packaged processed foods, eliminate sugar. Increase protein and healthy fat. Greek yogurt, eggs, butter all kinds of meat. Leave the bread crumbs out of your meatloaf, use ground pork reins instead.

There are no good studies that show meat causes colon cancer. Those epidemiological studies didn't control for the other things people were also eating, so a McDonald's burger counted as "meat" and a pizza counted as "meat". Nor did they control for other lifestyle factors like drinking alcohol. Meat is the easiest food for our body to digest as it is the most bioavailable so it actually spends far less time in the colon than plant matter.
Год назад
@@cj7051) there's no proof, they found a very weak *correlation* (not causation) between colon cancer and people who *claimed* to eat more meat, but regardless of other things. E.g. pizza was classified as red meat because it often contains it. I hope you see what are the various problems with this... 2) those bacteria which require fiber are clearly not important. Many long term carnivores have no problems. Fiber is actually anti-nutrient and most likely harmful. 3) yes, junk definitely causes problems but so do plants. Some people tolerate certain plants but others don't. If you still desire eating them you can do an elimination diet to figure out which harm you and how.
