It’s a great watch - I’ve had the Solar and the regular quartz. I just picked up a little quartz Reverso and that scratches the same itch! Beautiful timepieces. And Delugs are da bomb.
Yes, I also wanted the XL for the mechanical movement and the dial, but it is too big for most wrists - including mine. A Cartier tank is not supposed to be a big watch. A Cartier tank should be in every collection. Cheers!
Great video. Do the supplied Delugs springbars fit ok?I’ve just purchased another strap from elsewhere and the tips don’t go into the lugs. Do you know what size the tips are on the Delugs?
Yes they fit fine. I’m not sure tbh. I just measured and the springbars are 22mm fully extended. Remember the Must is 19mm, which can be an awkward size.
Thanks for this one year on review. I’ve had my eyes on this watch for 3+ years and have decided to bite the bullet and buy one that’s next to brand new condition on the preowned market for my 30th in April - to mark the occasion! I’m not a lover of the grained leather. Planning to buy the black alligator strap from Carter a bit later down the line. I have a question if you don’t mind, the buckle of the delugs strap. Is it identical in shape and shine to the Cartier strap? I would feel a bit miffed if something didn’t look like it matched perfectly. Do the Cartier straps have like a signature or code visible on them?
The black alligator strap I adore because it resembles the Cartiers seen back in the day on Warhol, Kennedys etc. the grained leather is a bit modern for me
Identical is a strong word, but I cannot tell the difference. there is a sign if remember on the inside, but it is not visible. The delugs is maybe a little more square, but for me imperceptibly. I wear mine on the delugs 95% of the time, and I actually like the Cartier strap, so I guess that’s a good review 😂
@@TimeandTalk I think I’m tempted to go with the Cartier one (£300 😖) just because I know I like everything to match. Thanks so much for the review. I’m so glad your happy with it one year on. I also think a few scratches on it adds character and makes it look robust!
@@RU-vidaccount37-615 could be a scuff, but the horizontal parts of the case are more matte, whilst the rest of the case is polished. The watch is overpriced for a quartz watch, but it isn’t poor quality. I do wear it heavily, but it is not peeling or anything like that. It could just be the light also.
