The Castellows cover several country and rock songs on their first concert tour to support the debut EP A Little Goes a Long Way. The Georgetown gals and the guys make this Beatles Abbey Road classic their own IMHO. They also cover other rock songs like The Animals' House of the Rising Sun and Bruce Springsteen's I'm on Fire in their 1 hour and 20 minute set. Its good to see them play Come Together in shorter sets supporting other bands this year (like Flatland Cavalry), cause its a blast of a performance.
What not to like? Blake's guitar riffs are great. And everyone likes to hear Powell and Ellie sing lead on this for the second and third verses respectively. And also the gals' gesture during the "one and one and one is three" lyric in the last verse is cool (a recent addition?). BTW the set list I got from this show has this instruction under Come Together: "point P.L.E on 1&1&1".
