Two old Behringer BCF2000 units working together as a 16 track control surface - sweet!

Interesting video and good insight. I had the use of a borrowed Presonus FaderPort 16 for 6 months and got used to it. My LaunchKey 49 MK3 is a pretty good control surface, but I miss those motorized faders. Do you think the FaderPort 16 is still relevant in 2022?

Yeah especially if you use Cubase, I think the single fader controller from presonus is 2nd to none for single channels comtrols! But in cubase all the controls link perfect and come set up. I've heard pro tools has a few hitches but logic works well too. I've been wondering about these new Icon M or G too. I too have been spoiled with motorized faders and have wanted my own set for some time! I wish there was a good keyboard with good motored faders, for a decent price. Like the panorama with motors...only keyboard like that I know is like a Behringer I think. Some have 1 motor but I mean like all have motors.

BCF and BCR controllers are legendary. The fact they still work without issues (for me at least), especially as I got them in 2005, is pretty amazing. These are great controllers if you can get them in good condition. They are well built and have served me well. I have no reason to upgrade unless they stop working. They are still great value on the used market, and probably one of the very few pieces of hardware which can increase your workflow when working with audio.

@@Juliano_DJOL Well I had this as well, sold it, happy I did it. This is actually very cheap made - plastic ugly housing, wobbling, glitchy and lagging faders, complicated setup and overall design is ugly as hell. I tried to replace belt tensioning wheels that are driving motor faders (yes they were plastic and were more like ellipse shape-they should be round) with aluminum ones that I've made on a lathe. That helped a little bit but not enough for a smooth operation. It ended up in a recycle bin. My honest advice - do not waste your money for this garbage. There are many good alternatives now for a good price, like ICON, the same Behrnger, Presonus etc.

I got the Icon M and I'm very happy with it. Works like a charm!

Hey, i bought a BCF2000, and it seems to work mostly, but when i adjust the fader with my mouse inside FL, the corresponding fader on the BCF doesnt move. any clue?

Which O/S and version of it and FL are you running?

@@ianwalker2258 Win 10, and the latest version of FL 21. I can't figure out how to check the BCF's firmware from looking at the manual. I looked at behringers website and saw something called BCF view or something like that, do I need to use that?

I use them (2 units as one 16 channel controller) with cubase 10.5. Looking for the third unit so I can have 24 channels
