I take a huge gamble and buy a cheap Range Rover L322. Will it end in disaster, or will my cheap farm truck pay off. Following me while I attempt to prepare it for it's annual safety inspection. From fixing the creaking and knocking front suspension, fixing squealing brakes, welding a rusty wheel arch and stripping and painting the subframes. Will it live up to the title of Best 4x4xFAR??

A good trick I recntly came across save all the hard labour Is to mix chains saw oil with a bit of parrafin and just spray the bloody lot The parrafin evaps and the chainsaw oil being bloody sticky just stays there tried it on me old Izusu and it really does seem to work That was 6 months ago Wheel arches need doing again but the rest is still wet and bloody sticky Just worth a thought ?? Just loving these vids Great to see someone prepared to have a go at anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and by what I can see get it right at the end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Allan! Another viewer mentioned chain oil, but I'd have never thought to mix it with paraffin, great idea!! I must try it inside the subframe. Might get a waxol gun to get it in. Far better than cavity wax. I was going to sit the oil in a bucket of hot water to thin it but I'll try your method. Just need to find paraffin! I will try most jobs at least one 🤣. mustie1 and half ass kustoms use chain saw bar oil mixture for great protection for under carriage
