I am still dumbfounded. All Gamesir has to do is make the G7SE with four back buttons that are ergonomically comfortable. They don't need to go wireless, they don't need RGB, and they don't even need locking triggers. They just keep shitting out slightly different versions of the same thing to get your grandma confused on Amazon at Christmas time.
@@vCuda When they dropped their newest Xbox roller, I thought "but why?" and that has stuck in my head, when all they really need to do is make 3-4 different products and improve THOSE products, versus making 17 versions of the same thing, each missing a feature that another has.
True but remember is all about marketing the average gamer when they see a wired controller with no RGB and no trigger stop would not buy even if it is better since. most don't research for controllers.
@@TrxJxnI got a video coming out about those. I think the G7 & G7 SE are better overall. As they’re slightly cheaper (only $5. Maybe $10 depending on seller) the G7 has more stable mechanical buttons, and the T4K controllers have disconnecting issues and certain reliability ticks the G7s don’t
Dont know why people hate on this by saying "they should have made a more expensive controller". If that is what you think, then this controller wasn't made for you. This controller targets the budget demographic that want a working controller with decent features for a really cheap price... for its price category, its undoubtedly amazing but idiots on the internet compare this to the G7 SE as if that was a fair comparison...
Yeah, they said its 'mid' but show me a better controller in its price range. I brought it for $18 some time ago and its better than many $30 out there.
@@askeladden450 for the money? It is mid. Alternatives around $30 usd? Gamesir T4 Kaleid Direwolf 2 8bitdo pro 2 8bitdo ultimate 2c Easysmx X15 Easysmx X10 The nova and nova lite sound great, feel okay and play like ass with firmware updates only available over mobile applications that break and brick the controller. The in application manual is so degraded that the only option is to use the website for a legible copy.
I bought the nova (not light) version on AliExpress for about 20 dollars (VAT and shipping included) as a cheap pro controller replacement. I don't notice any lag on Switch and the HD rumble works fine during Mario Wonder (the controller plays music in my hand). Because of the rear triggers, it is also good for FPS. I'm really happy with it.
vCuda what do you say is the best wireless pro controller. I don't really know any apart from the scuf and elite 2 (which i have had 3 of cuz they break easily).
3 months with Lite version and I don't have any problem so far 😂 connection via bluetooth and 2.4 are consistent. don't forget to stay at firmware 4200
@vCuda what Xbox controller has the highest pulling rate/response time out the box with out needing to tune it with a pc Also I play siege at champ level what controller do you recommend
best controller content creator :) i bought the t7 because of this channel and its really good. what abt. the other t7 controller that are wireless, are they any good? :) thanks for the video
For PC my T4 Keleid is still going strong after about 3 years. HE sticks, mechanical ABXY buttons, two mappable rear buttons, usb A to C cable and rgb. For $40! 👍🏼 Also, your review on them is what helped my decision to buy them and subscribe!
Gamesir just announced the G7HE, which is just the G7 with halls so the G7SE is probably gonna be obsolete now. Probably gonna end up being their best overall pad unless they really fuck it up someway somehow. The G8 label is used for their class-leading Mobile controllers which now has a new SKU with Bluetooth so who fucking knows what the long-awaited and rumored Gamesir Flagship is gonna be called.
UPDATE: Gamesir's actual new models have been revealed. Their premium entry has the preliminary name 'Nine Tailed Fox' with a sony-style symmetrical layout. They also appear to have a new model Cyclone with the preliminary name 'Windrunner 2'
T4k got an update to how the sticks feel so if you have OG T4k vs a newer one they feel very different. T4k's sold right now come with the altered firmware. Wasn't clear before, the update is BAD it goes from a linear setup to an amplified response curve so precise accurate control goes out the window and it's totally random how it performs.
Do you have a favorite controller purely based on thumb stick smoothness? My tension/centering spring is worn out & idk if I should just get a new analog controller or switch to Hall effect. I would just replace the whole potentiometer module but I’ve heard it’s a pain to replace.
I have an xbox elite core and its like my 3rd or 4th elite in the last 3 years. It is on its last leg and I am so over elite controllers. Flydigi vader 3 or vader 4? or another recommendation? Appreciate all you do bro.
Have you tried connecting the nova to a switch or a switch emulator. Maybe the rumble and gyro will work. I am already excited for your Vader 4 review.
Sorry to ask about a different controller on this video but I was generally curious. Have you or were you planning to do a review on the FlyDigi Apex 4? I've seen it emerging on RU-vid recently but I don't trust any other controller reviewers more than you. Love what you do man!✌🏻
Gamesir reminds me a lot of the company Ayaneo. Many, MANY variants of what's mostly the same product with slight tweaks and varying pricepoints that simply don't make sense for what you're getting...
Def wanna see the vader 4 pro review. I was gonna order off amazon so I could return it if I didn't like it, but it had a 1-2 month estimated delivery time on amazon
fortunately mine has 2-3ms which is as expected from the spec.... the problem with cheap thing is always about the QC sometimes it feels like 'gacha' in real life
I just want Gamesir to make the G7 SE wireless AND to have trigger stops, they would take all of my money if they made that dream of a beast controller come true! 😭🙏
"FlyDigi has struggled to do it forever" Struggled with wireless? How so? Gamepadla's scores for FlyDigi controllers are pretty good and a lot of people are happy with their performance. Maybe you can make a video discussing this?
They have a lot of disconnecting issues and have between various models. Also, the Gamepadla scores unfortunately paint a grim picture for the Apex & Vader 4. They advertise 1ms response times via 2.4ghz, but the GPDL tester says they average around x10 that. I will be making a video on this to clear things up!
I disagree with your take as I currently have the said "Bad" controller on my hands right now. The latency is fine for what it is, the connection on Bluetooth and Dongle are hassle-free.
Damn, I bought this one. Luckily I got it for cheap and wasn't really looking for the best of the best. I kinda like it. I guess I'm getting a T4 Kaleid next.
I just got the nova lite and its kinda enough for me. I dont think i could get anything better for the price and dont care about pro features. Haven't tried gaming with the 2.4g connection but if its really unplayable i guess i'll go wired But the thing is, gamesir's line up is a mess and i had problems with the latest firmware version, its all over the place. But keeping it at v 4200 seems to work. v 5700 has issues with the dongle on which it only connects as a switch controller. On the previous version you can toggle the dongle mode between xinput, switch and android (dont know why would anyone do that but it works)
Not defending the Nova Light but it's doing it's job for me. My only complaints are the design, it can't fit with cellphone holder that I bought recently, placement buttons near home button are weird and lastly when you update the firmware it will change its name to wireless controller from T4 Nova Light which is really weird. Overall it's very budget friendly, I bought it like $11(converted) in my country.
I got the light version for $15. The firmware is terrible. After updating to the latest version, I'm unable to connect it to my Android phone, but the PC connection is smooth maybe because I'm using a UGREEN Bluetooth receiver instead of the included dongle. I read that the older version is better than the latest firmware update, but I'm too lazy to roll back the update I did. Overall, the controller is good, and it gets the job done based on my usage.
I had the opposite experience, 5200 version, dongle xbox mode didn't work, android was fine. But I found the solution very easy. Just update the dongle, someone on Reddit post a link to a zip file. Now my Nova Light was working fine👌 By the way, I got mine $9.86(converted) in my country.
Next controller that kinda sucks, please upload an 18 minute vid, where the first ten seconds are normal introducing the controller, then just say "It's ass. Don't buy it." And the next 18 minutes are just sick lofi.
Hey, I love your content. I am looking to find the best pro controller. Price is no object. I don’t want any “well Iike my.” No, I want straight facts from people who know what they are talking about. Please help me out guys. Specifically talking about fps games.
Gamesir g7 se is garbage , i have one and used it for a year now the rt button is hitting the plastic when i press it it makes so much noise im done with this controller
Am I the only one that hates the t4k’s face buttons, like really hates them? I have a g7se and a t4k and I actually can’t use the t4k at all because the buttons are so ass. First of all they are so fucking hard to press and even when they are pressed it literally feels like a membrane with a mushy click at the bottom
Using the asymmetrical thumb stick design makes them an automatic fail. Imagine designing your product after the loser of every console gen. Dead last loser. Companies are never getting my money until they wise up and make symmetrical thumbstick designs. Period.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH this is you bruh: Recent comments on this channel Commented on "SCUF Finally Made a GREAT Controller! SCUF Envision Pro Honest Review (Teardown, Testing, Etc.) I might buy this controller just to spite those stupid fucks. Commented on "The BEST Budget Xbox Pro Controller Under $50! GameSir G7 Honest Review " That's cute and all, but when will these companies learn? Xbox has LOST EVERY GENERATION. I want a good PC controller. Not a trash, asymmetrical xbox design. Why do they keep modelling controllers after the losers? Does Sony have the patent on symmetrical controllers? Lol Shits so goofy. Commented on "An Ultra-Budget Anti-Stick Drift Pro Controller! GameSir T4 Kaleid Honest Review " Still not worth having an xbox design. Sony beat Microsoft literally every generation. Why do companies keep copying the losers bad designs? Symmetrical thumb sticks, or GET FUCKED.
