What's weird is that if people have the technical know-how to change their boot options, they more than likely have the knowledge to find their own ROMS and can create a Batocera thumb drive themselves.

Not really, I've tried it and I can never get thing's right. Also I'm on the road most of the time(truck driver) I just want to be able to play couple mins at best with my daughter and not spend the time trying to figure things out

So two questions... 1. Can I simply copy all the data on this straight to a bigger external, and have it work the same? 2... Can this be used with an arcade cabinet, with like proper arcade buttons and such? I'm guessing some sort of decoder would be needed...

I bought one of these on Amazon. Most of the games don’t work. They want you to Put a coin in. Lol. But for the money - it’s an amazing toy. There are still thousands of games that work just fine.

Press start to go to the main menu and remap your controller. Assign select button as your hotkey and that works as the coin for most MAME games in batocera.

I mean its getting easier and easier to grab rom packs and atm hard drives are cheap as chips. I understand consoles but not really hard drives with just the files in them.
